Nope, no shaker on 428 Torinos (Cobras) in 68-69. Shaker was available on 429 cars in 1970-71.

The one around the block is red? is a small block Fairlane. Search for Ram Air. The Fairlanes and Torinos could have that with a CJ scoop and the hood had 4 pie shapes cut out underneath. I know of a Q code 69 that could be had for $10K!

Right, CJ scoop with cutouts but no shaker in '68-69. Still called Ram-Air and actually uses some of the same pieces in the air cleaner setup as the Shaker on Mustangs, but the scoop itself is mounted to the hood, not through it.

I have a 2011 mustang and my son is 15 for his next bday I'd love to buy him a old 68-69 I'm in south jersey area. If anyone know of any that the body is in good condition. I'd like to get it so he can work on it until he gets his DL. I think if I get the car and he spends the time and some money on fixing it he will tend to take care of it more so then if I just go buy him a car. I also think it will be good bonding time and he'll leave mine alone! I love mustangs but don't have a ton of experience with them so I'll be asking questions if needed and I'm sure most of you can help me through it. Thanks

a 68 or 9 will be two to three times more expensive than a 65 or 6 .. unless you perhaps want a coupe .. a 65 coupe just looks better

Ill have to look at picks. We had a 68 when I was growing up and just loved it. I'll have to look up a 65. About how much do you think a pretty good body will be even if I have to replace the engine I'm fine with that
