Bullitt vs. GT/CS
Ah the age old joust from the GT/CS guys.
Always the same old thing. 'I could make my CS like a Bullitt with just a a CAI, a tune and exhaust"
That would make it almost like a Shelby GT too, no?
OK then do it to your CS, and good luck to you.
GT guys can make their cars into a CS with a front and rear Fascia....

The bullitt was $5k more than a CS.
Substantially more money for 15hp. And a car named after a movie.
Cross your fingers, maybe you can get a "fast n furious" mustang in 20 years. All your dreams coming true.
And it will be a twin turbo, front wheel drive 4 banger

the bullit also a different interior and a slightly upgraded suspension and is numbered from the factory and is more of a sports cars.
I still do not get this apples and oranges deal with the bullitt and CS. Both are nice but one looks nice and one is a the all around package. Also one holds it value better..

Don't forget the rear gears. I know the Shelby GT used 3.73 gears, but I can't remember on the Bullitt for sure. The CS just used standard 3.31 or 3.55 gears.
I vote for the Bullitt car. Truth be told, I would buy a used one later today if I could for several reasons. It is by far, one of the cleanest looking Mustangs of all time; no fake scoops, no giant body, no bling type wheels, no rear spoiler, and no stripes. Furthermore, the S197 gen 1 car looks great, I love the color, and it does sound good. And while it may not loud enough for my taste, I have compared it with the original 68 car, and the tone is close.
In the CS car's defense, they did get some rather cool front and rear bumpers, that's it though.

"According to chief engineer Paul Randle, the current Bullitt has been considered the best Mustang ever in many respects thanks to its wonderful balance of handling and power, so it was chosen as the baseline for the new GT.

The bullitt is definitely more rare, has the upgraded suspension, cai, and exhaust etc... But the fact of the matter is...
2005 Mustang GT
0-60 = 5.3
1/4 mi. = 13.9 @ 101.4 mph
0.85 g on skidpad
2008 Bullitt
0-60 = 5.1
1/4 mi. = 13.7 @ 103.2 mph
0.87 g on skidpad
The real world differences between these cars are EXTREMELY minimal.

I'm not trying to say that at all. We are all mustang enthusiasts and *****ing about small differences. When it comes down to it, a race between the two will come down to the driver.

So if the Bullets are "All That" then how come they didn't build them for 2010 or 11? If you ask me the Bullet is very bland. If one was given to me i'd sell it and get a Cali.
I truthfully don't know why we are arguing about this. The point is we are all Mustang fans, so can't we just agree that they are both great cars and better then the competition. WTF?
