Cheap? No way. The Bullitt looks understated, which is exactly how it's supposed to look. They also look great with rear window side louvers, and I'd love to see more pics of one with the MRT hood. But they certainly don't look cheap.

The bullitt is awesome, but I just like the styling of the CS better
that's true ,,, except for that wind drag appendage thingy that you carry around back there like a whithered limb ...

"Spoilers" are a matter of taste .... (bad taste in my opinion - like something you'd see attached to a Pontiac Trans Am)

but there's no deigning that they are a performance killer at low speeds - say, anything under 120MPH!

which was what I thought that you were referring to in your first post above

Did you read the thread title? It's not about you and your Shelby with the ugly hood scoop, no rear spoiler, front and rear stolen from a CS and that CAI that looks like something I could make out in the barn with a hammer and wood block.

??? I think you have that backwards. Spoilers do nothing for performance at low speeds. Also, since you mentioned a Trans Am, the last ones made ca. 2002 actually had a aerodynamically functional spoiler that provided significant downforce as speeds increased.

Re-read my post, and you'll see that I said the rear end is probably the most important go-faster item, not the clutch pack. Go laugh at yourself now. The Bullitt came with the KR rear end which (supposedly) uses a stronger iron housing, the heavier-duty pinion bearing, the 3.73 gears and the carbon clutch pack. It was the best bolt-in 8.8 rear Ford put into an S197 to date. Sure, anyone can upgrade to that rear or much better still, but it wasn't factory, was it? Maybe you need to find some better smilies, clown.

Even the blind can sense the nicer seats, stronger pull and deeper growl of the Bullitt's exhaust. Bullitt pricing remained higher 'till the end, 'cause dealers knew they'd sell, which they did. Happily, I got mine for $4K under sticker, by waiting 'till December '08, when nothing was moving. There were four CS cars at that dealer when I bought my Bullitt, and I saw them for what they are; a GT with some added on "look at me" stuff - nothing more functional than the standard GT. Enjoy your scoops and stripes. I'm not into stripes, even though they're a part of my KR (and I'm tempted to remove 'em). At least my scoops are functional (but yeah; same magical carbon clutches as the Bullitt's). And before you call the KR a big waste of $; I got it new, for $9K under sticker(s).

When it comes to the "cool factor" no mustang touches the Bullitt...........not even the Shelby's. Don't get me wrong, Shelby's and Cali Specials are cool........very cool in fact, but I'm just partial to the Bullitt. To each their own, but the Bullitt will get my vote every time.

Yup.

The poll has spoken for itself - even on the reverse CS/B thread where one would expect the CS to trounce. Lotta Bullitt lovers.

Some prefer the flashy CS and that's cool, but it has also become clear who doesn't get SMQ & Bullitt (even when they say they do lol) with their ridiculous slams. You can't teach a dog to hunt.

Then there are those that are simply jealous because the GT/CS wasn't named by Edmunds as one of two "coolest cars in America"! Bullitt was! Edmunds got it!

I originally wanted a Shelby GT, but couldn't afford the ADM. Basically it's a Shelby minus the go performance parts and Shelby badges and grill.
So I got a CS Vert and it turns heads everywhere I go.

You really need to read that window sticker you are so infatuated with posting on these threads. Your car did not start life as a CS. It is a GT with the 54U package (side scoops and F/R fascia). That is something Ford did for Shelby America. That does not make it a CS.
