Viva La Mustang! Giugiaros Interpret Ford Icon
Love the overall shape (exterior - I wont even comment on the interior), however from the front it loses the feel of a mustang. It looks more euro than american mustang (IMO).
At first I couldnt figure out why then i notice its the way they did the headlights. Two small changes make it much much better:
First - the brow line above the lights - it needs to be scalloped ala the 60's mustangs though not much, rather than a continuous line,
Second - the outer edge should not be swept up and out, thats what makes it appear so euro. The outer edge should mirror the inner edge, up and foreward to keep the foreward tilt that gives the mustang such an agressive look.
Two very small changes, but once someone makes them in photoshop (and I am sure someone will) it can be seen to be a huge change in the appearance of the car from the front.

Here was the first thing I did to it in photoshop, I havent tried the front yet.
Edit: I wish I had waited for the pics Scott posted before I took it to photoshop, they're much higher res than the ones I found

True and I understand that, I guess I am just saying that in the same way the he "italianized" the rest of the car, he still left the ties/hints to keep it a mustang (albeit an "italianized" version). The tribar tail lights, hips, quarterwindow, side scallops, all are recognizable as being mustang, even after he has "italianized" them.
I just think that he should have continued that with the front end leaving that distinctly mustang look while "italinizing" it as well. Seems he just went a little bit to far there and it no longer is as distinctly mustang (at least to me).
Over all I really like it and even hope Ford will be doing something like this with the 2010 model, just not with that front end.
I dont have photoshop, however, I was playing with the front in MS paint to try and figure out what it was about the front that didnt look right. It is amazing how much of a difference those two little changes make in the front and how much more recognizable the car is as a mustang.
It also looks much better with a slightly larger - taller not wider, and only very slightly - grill opening. Though this is more of an asthetic change to give the car a more menacing look.
Thats almost exactly what I was doing, keeping the outer line as a kind of continuation from the lower indentations up and over the headlights - ties it all together.
The only difference is that I was putting in a little bit of a cutout (scallop) along the hoodline over the lights to set them back a little from center grill.
And it is much better looking this way, at least to me. Much more mustang without taking away from what he was trying to do with it.

I can get MUCH larger if you need.

Ours. They will be available really shortly, and the non-painted ones are a smoke-tinted lexan finish. There's a thread in the exterior mod section about it, and pre-orders are still being taken on our website.

Rumor is this is a thinly disguised 2010 Mustang.
