So far I don't like it at all..Kind of looks like the concept gods created a Platypus by slaping on a slab of Celica over here and then let's add a slab of 350 Z over there then perhaps even a slab of Supra and while were at it ? how about throwing in a slab of the Camaro concept just for laughs lol. then for the finishing touch ? why not add a slab of Eclipse to complete my Frankenstang creation ''it's alive I tell you, it's alive'' ..
and whoever said that God doesn't have a sense of humor ? but anyhow, let's just hope this isn't what Ford has in mind when it comes to designing the actual 2010 Mustang ? otherwise I'll be holding on to my 05 for who knows how long ? maybe indefinitely...
What I also don't understand is this ? why didn't Ford consider extending the greenhouse into the trunk area by sloping it like they did with the 67-68 Mustang Fastback ? which happens to be my personal favorite of all time, especially in the styling department.

The "mirror" is actually likely a camera projecting to some screen inside the car -- probably show car techno overkill.
The overall styling, too, is probably more over-the-top show car rather than any serious indicator of future Mustang styling themes -- more pure Italian stylistic exercise and interpretation than a real attempt to pre-fly and gauge public reaction on specific future Stangs.
So I'd just take it and enjoy it for what it is and not worry much about any particular design elements actually appearing on, say, the '10 Stang.

Like where ? first off, the Shelby GR-1 doesn't have the over buldging hips like the Guigiaro concept.. in fact take a good look at the hips on the Camaro concept and then compare it with the Guigiaro ? they look almost exactly identical..There's also no similarity between these vehicles from the rear, the GR-1 has a sloping roofline going back into the trunk area.. where on the other hand ? the Guigiaro concept does not..
I really like this car
Yes and other than the tail lights a 2nd yes.

Don't have a calf.
I'm willing to bet we will see that car on the show circuit this year... I wouldn't be shocked if that was a thinly disguised 2010 model.
It may seem early, but
1. The car was originally supposed to be a 2009
2. There is a lot of press about the upcoming Camaro and Challenger, this car will help steal some press away from them.
3. With Ford in the dumps currently, they need all the positive publicity they can get

Supposedly this car is coming to the LA Auto Show! I am sure Bill will beat me to the post of the pics since I have to drive back to SD before uploading them but if it is there we will cover it for you guys right here on TMS first!!!!!!

Thanks to Dutch car mag, Autovisie, we've got tentative proof the top-secret Giugiaro Mustang -- a concept car reported to be a joint project of Ford design boss J Mays and ItalDesign's Fabrizio Giugiaro -- exists in sheetmetal form. Set for a debut at the Los Angeles auto show later this month, the Italianized 'Stang will, according to Wards's Auto have the most powerful Mustang engine developed to date. It's not the first time an Italian had his way with a Mustang; at the 1965 New York Auto Show, Nuccio Bertone's showed off his company's 100th design -- a prototype Ford Mustang commissioned by Automobile Quarterly and designed by then Bertone sidekick, Giorgetto Giugiaro. – Mike Spinelli "

.....I would say that the overall design of that Vette is cool, but that canopy throws everything off, my two centovos....
