I realize this thread was started a while ago, but I wanted to include some information for future reference.
The Shelby GT hood scoop is unique to that particular car, sold as 07 and 08 models. It's very similar to the GT350 scoop and the Cobra scoop; however, the dimensions are completely different. To my knowledge, there are two distinct versions of the Shelby GT scoop as Shelby Automobiles, now Shelby American, had some warping issues with the first version. The first version was made of urethane, and had a tendency to warp in the center as they would heat up; such as from the sun. The second version was made of fiberglass, and was much stiffer. The fiberglass is gel coated, and formed to the same dimensions of the original.
Interestingly, the hood scoops were all painted the stripes color and the cars color would have a vinyl stripe down the center; unlike the car which is first painted and then had vinyl stripes added.
Finally, the Shelby GT hood scoop is NOT for sale by Shelby Performance Parts to the general public. As of this writing, Shelby GT owners can request a replacement for less than $200 for warranty purposes.

I know this is an old thread, but Ill add some updates. I just ordered a new scoop from Shelby. They do sell them but there are conditions. You have to supply them with a VIN, a photo of your registration, or bill of sale (title). The scoop is about 400 bucks.
As far as the bolts go, I had the original urethane scoop and yes it did warp. There are eight bolts under the hood holding the scoop on. Also two of the rivets, in the front of the scoop, the left and right rivets, hold the scoop on as well. The rest of the rivets are cosmetic. Also note, if you order one, they will not ship it until you provide photo evidence the old scoop has been destroyed. They are very protective of their designs, its somewhat ridiculous, but it is what it is.
I had to drill a hole in the old one and send them the photo.

I Remember Those Warping in Less Than A Year on One Shelby Gt We Had Sold! Sunny California! I Seem To Remember Thinking Some Welting Between Hood & Scoop Might Be a Way To Go! Bit That Was a Long Time Ago!
I Also Remember People Popping The Hoods Before Pulling Hood Pins Quite a Bit and Messing Up the Trim Plates!
Oh and Thanks For Updating Post!

Thank you GaryG446 for the definitive attachment information. I have an '08 Shelby convertible (blue/white stripes). Planning on restriping from Phoenix Graphix. Looks like I'll have to remove and reset hood scoop to install the new hood stripes. How painful was it to remove? I guess it's the two front pop rivets that are intimidating to me. Were they difficult to drill out?
Thank you!!
Thank you!!
