Shelby Hood scoop

Does any one know, how I can get my hands on a Shelby hood scoop.
Love the looks, but the dealer wont sell me one, they sell them only to the shelby customers. Has any one found a replica?

If your talking about the GT500, which i assume you are, its the whole hood that you have to buy.

I think it is the GT hood scoop. If Shelby is like Saleen, which is probably a pretty good guess, they wont sell it to you, because you didnt buy a Shelby. If you can find someone that has a Shelby GT, theres a few guys on here, that would purhase it for you, you'd be good to go.

The scoop on the Shelby GT is lifted directly from the Shelby Cobras. I'm not sure if this would work but why not buy the scoop from a replica dealer.

I saw a couple on E-bay, they sold for close to $400 I think, too rich for my blood.

A painted Roush hoodscoop will set you back about $300 so that's actually not bad I guess. From what I hear the scoop is lifted directly from the Cobra so it should be the same size but I don't know.

If you're talking about the Shelby GT, that scoop looks like garbage in my opinion.

its very unrefined....which is I guess what they were going for in the Shelby Cobra...but I dont think the scoop's attitude matches the s197...

+1.

If you haven't seen one in person, you need to. It's nasty. (no offense to any SGT owners expressed or implied).

You're better off with the GT Appearance package scoop, or the Roush piece.

I agree, I think the Roush one looks alot better. That's the one I have my eye on. You should go to a Ford dealer that has one and take a look at it. I don't like the rivets at all. JMHO

Thanks this is a good find, I have never heard of this website.
This piece is alittle different as well as the size, and no rivets.
Ill try find some shelby owners that can help me out
