Third Shelby Mustang: Shelby GT Joins GT-H and GT500!
wow honestly im definately happy I'm glad that shelby is finally offering something in between and honestly I think it looks pretty great. I'm not the biggest fan of the hood (was a huge fan of the gth hood tho) and I think it could use a spoiler of some sort either stock or gt500 but other then that I think its great. Especially the fact that it comes in black and silver I love that! Without a doubt this is a big possibility for me and Amy thanks a ton for informing us its incredibly appreciated especially because this is w/o a doubt the best mustang forums in existance. By the way I can't really tell but are those the shelby American Racing wheels? If we could get better pictures then that it would also be really appreciated seeing how it's already out and about now no harm

There are 2 cars in the Shelby GT offering, one black with silver the other white with silver, they have the ford racing proformance packages, with a new Shelby hood designed off the cobra scoop, with rivets, it can also be in manual and automatic, there is other info, I need to wait on the release.
Hope this helps

A supercharger would be a nice option. And those CS wheels would be great with this car.

That's ok, not every Shelby will be for everyone, hopefully on of the others will appeal to you
Amy
to be honest the real question is gonna fall on the price assuming it has all three frpp packages (which means 4:10 gears for the manual yippeee!!!) and it comes with full warranty no issues like you have when you purchase the frpp packages later and its priced around the 30-32 range this is definately what I would buy no question about it

Now i consider myself to be a pretty visual guy some might say even leaning to imaginative..but i for the life of me can't picture this.

ahh I think I found the rivets in question.
hard to tell on these but there is definitely highlights.
I think when Amy said Cobra she meant AC Cobra not SVT cobra. Upon looking at it harder it looks like the same scoop or close to it that Unique Performance uses on the cobras.
a little photoshop magic later....
[edit] Actually TRMach1 I know loads about the car..but Amys wording was confusing along with the lack of quality of the photo as In I couldn't see the rivets in question till I upped the contrast of the photos. But I have no idea why I'm trying to justify this to you.

Unless specifically mentioned when I hear/read 'Cobra' I think of Mustang Cobra.

I read in one article that Shelby has to follow a non-competing agreeement with Ford
on producing Mustangs, so this may be why the mods must meet with Ford's approval and only "function" as Ford wants them too.
Maybe Amy can add some more or correct this information?

Black w/ Silver & White w/ Silver????
Rivets on the hood scoop???? (It's not an A/C Cobra, it's a Mustang)
This is the car that's supposed to fit in between the GT and the GT500???

Sorry, Amy, but I expected something better from Shelby.

For me on a mustang board when someone says cobras I think SVT. To me the Cobra name goes so far above and beyond the AC version, I tend to think Coletti not Shelby. But that's niether here nor there..the car has rivets or fasners or something like that call it what you will. I think Shelby might have a slight fastener fetish going here between the grill on his other car and this scoop..I bet we'll all find it riveting. HAHAHAH I kill me
Chuck you got me wondering about the non compete
