Like BC said I'd rather make one myself for a fraction of the price....No way he'd get one penny of mine.

I wont even say what i really want to say about this car as I'm sure I'll catch heck from the Shelbyites around here.

Something that I thought was extremely cheap looking was the way they did the grille. The billet style grille on the GT-H is an overlay and they simply cut out the pony and the fogs. They leave the original butchered up grille on the car!! Looks like crap!

This source is saying 4 to 5 thousand Shelby GTs sold exclusively through Ford dealers. If true, it would be almost double the production rate of the GT-H.

http://www.shelbyforums.com/forums/s...y-mustang.html

Also, another person in this thread says they will be called "shelby cobra mustangs". I doubt that this will turn out to be the case. Think it will be "Shelby GT"

Not completely certain, but I still think I'd rather re-create the car below...

...and then add the Performance parts to that.

Especially with all the new features being made available for the '07s.

The Shelby GT sounds nice - and more power to anyone who wants one - but I just don't know.

Hmmm...the GT-H hood is one of my favorite things about the car, actually.

Certainly.

As the dreams of GT500 collectors cashing in at Barrett-Jackson 30 years from now begin to wither and die.

Hate to say we told you so.

The thrill of victory... the agony of defeat.. the suspense... the high demand... the short supply... the AMVs...

This is so emotional!

No, I think the 500 will be ok, we have some stuff for it too. The Gt500 is a great car for the $$, the MSRP $$,

A Shelby version of the GT-500? A GT-500KR?

My guess is the 2 colors will be White with blue stripes and Vista Blue with white stripes.

Red w/ White, White w/ Blue would be classic IMO.

BTW, I just saw a GT-H while on my way to the Aquarium here in Tampa, FL. Sweet car. Gold or black painted stock wheels were going on mine if I got one.

Glad this new Shelby is coming. My daughter has already demanded I get Red w/ White...not bad taste she has, huh?

Well I'm glad so many people think it's a bad idea. Less markup and more for me! I'd love to have one!!! We'll see what the cost is.

Amy,

Can you tell us what day the press release will come out? Will this weeks Bold Moves release give us the detailed information we are eagerly anticipating?

My guess for colors is Black w/gold and White w/blue.

The cost over a GT will make it yes or no for me.

Sad thing is, I just don't like it any better than a GT, particularly if one orders a GT to their own specs.

That sounds like a GT350 to me.

Amy, please read my personal preference of what a GT350 should be and pass it around at Shelby. (post # 46) Not only would it be a great tribute to the original, but it would also, IMO, help keeo the dealer mark-up down because it would be such a bare bones car.

I will get the info tomorrow on the release. I am waiting for the final version.

On the colors, I would think history. I don't want to use colors that should be used for something more appropreiate
