I am new to this forum and about to order my first Mustang tomorrow am: an 07 GT/CS. I am very exicted as I grew up in a Mustang family and my father currently owns a 69 Mach 1. Anyway, after looking for months and months, I have finally settled on the following:

Black Mustang GT/CS
Black and Dove interior
3.55s
Interior Upgrade Package w Satin Panel
Antitheft and Wheel locking kit
Side airbags
Comfort Group
GT Appearance package

I have to decide between black matte stripes and tungsten stripes, but I plan on having them painted after the fact so I have a little time :-)

My question to you as a GT/CS owner...

Are there any options that you wished you had gotten and didn't or any options that you did get and are very happy that you decided on that are not on my list?

Since I am ordering it, I want to make sure that I don't miss anything I will regret later!

Also, can you let me know what you standard delivery time was vs what you were initially told. My dealer thinks we can get one in 4 weeks but all the posts I read look like it has been taking a lot longer.

Lets see, I wish I would have gotten Sirius, about all I can think of right now!

I kinda regret getting the GT Appearance package with the hood scoop, mufflers, and intake cover. The mufflers were redundant since they automatically came on GT/CS. I plan on getting the steeda cowl hood, and would not get the GT AP if I could do it again.

I DID!!! We placed this order this morning at 11AM. :-) Now, the long wait begins. The dealer said I should have a VIN number in the next 7 days.

 

Congrats on your purchase. My GT/CS should be here sometime this week. You ordered some things I did....some things I didn't. Options are a very personal thing....like the GTAP. I happen to like the hood scoop....obviously others don't. Thats the beauty of ordering the car....you get it just the way you want it.

 

Excellent - which options did you get?

BTW, it will be worth the wait. I waited 5 weeks (although they told me it would be 8-10!)

 

Sounds like my car. Just look at all the mods you can do to it after you get it.

 

i am definitely excited to get her and start really making her my own. I plan on getting her striped tungsten and getting window louvers. I want my car to look as retro as possible.

However, my dad keeps teasing that the first question should be... "Does this make her faster?" I have A LOT to learn about the actual mechanics of my new car before i will be able to answer those kinds of questions.

I am back at work today and my co-workers are sick of hearing all about it so I am very happy this forum exists!!

 

You can have mine my son & I like XM but now both owned by the same, anyway were just more fond of XM stations and he likes Chicken Man.

 

Congrats!!! I picked mine up on 2/21 and have been loving it ever since. These cars really turn some heads.
