I got a call from Jacostang tonight, he told me that he will be ordering a GT/CS with the Daytona 500 converision option. There will be only 50 built so this will be the rarest GT/CS yet. He will let me know once he gets his VIN and other information for the website. I am attaching a copy of the PDF file that show the converision from GT/CS to Daytona pace car.

 

That's quite cool. Is there a color requirement for the base car?

 

Yes the car has to be Race Red with the Glass Roof and 3.73 gears.

Very nice. Certainly a visual standout as well as very limited edition.

 

Well the car now has a window sticker and scheduled to be built on 6/17 but the sticker does not have any mention of the Pace Car Option which is a bummer.

 

Pretty happy for Jacostang! Great bragging rights on this one!! But also very glad that I'm not the one paying to belong to that very Special Cal "50" Club. It's going to be smokin hot looking for sure! Cannot wait to see these pixs Gang! CalStang

 

I received an email from Dave today to let me know his car is now at a rail hub in West Phoenix so it is getting closer to Dave.

 

The latest update from Dave is the car has arrived at the dealers but they are waiting for the decals and plaque to do the convertision.

Here is the latest on the car. The dealer got the items to convert the car and he found out that his car is #36 of 50. He is going down to the dealer tomorrow to take pictures of the items.

I just got off the phone with Dave and he has received word from the dealer that his car is completed. They are going to put the car in the showroom on display, he will be sending some pictures to me soon.
