Another Orange Pony Hit The Ground Running!
Hey folks,
Just wanted to share the news of my baby's arrival. She was ordered on August 4th and delivered September 11th. I'm loving it!
Here's some pix...

Guess I've joined the "Brotherhood Of Grabber Orange!"

Thanks, man. I appreciate your remarks. I'm going to leave her nekkid for a little while. Just going to savor the factory-freshness for a while. I think a black stripe down the side might look nice, when the time comes. I want to explore a Mach I theme, so I'll probably end up creating a clone or hybrid of sorts.
On the other matter, I'm afraid I'm a bit of a heretic. Especially on this site, where I get the feeling that if anyone doubts the noble intentions of "the man," they're labeled a traitor.
So much for free speech, eh?

So, Stan when we going to get started on the BOGO registry site? Celtic nice ride, but of course I am biased. So glad that it is finally here. What do you think of the auto versus the manual? I heard that the auto has a lot of getty up...
Thanks, man. I'll be honest, I'm pretty lazy. I like letting the car shift when it thinks it's right. The funny thing is, I was a big proponent of manually-shifted Mustangs prior to buying my '05 Legend Lime GT. I enjoyed telling others that it was more engaging, made you feel more involved in the driving experience, saved you a little gas, cost less, sounded cool, etc. Well, I moved from Virginia to California last year and learned that driving a manual on hills is a nerve-racking experience. And you can forget wet weather traction on those hills! So, this time I opted for the auto. Sacramento is pretty flat, but I do venture into San Fran on occasion, and I plan on other excursions into the mountains, so it seemed a wise choice at the time. I've only been driving the auto for a couple of days, but I really like it. No fuss, no muss (what is "muss" anyway? lol).

One time there was like 2 inches of snow in my driveway of my old house (10% grade going up). In my '95 the rear end was a little more loose than this '07, so it would shimmy without trying. I was struggling with getting that car in my garage without sliding to the right and hitting a garage column made out of bricks. I tried it like 4 times and had to back off every time before it felt like I was going to hit those bricks. So, the wife gets ****ed and insists that I let the Pitt girl take care of it. She nailed it the first time.
I hate it when she's right...I would like to take a drive in an auto some time though and see what I might be missing...

I LOVE this car. My fifth in ten years! I'm hoping to hold onto this one a while longer than my last.

I've helped quite a few people out of the snow over the years. It's no picnic! Nowadays, I'd probably call in sick (if I could) just to avoid the potential for catastrophe!
Auto is probably not as much fun as stick, but I guess it's worth the trade-off for having the peace of mind.
For now...
