ya im in a similiar boat, i dont think the 2011s will go a full year on adm but it will be at least winter before you can get one for around invoice. which i why i went for the 2010 in the first place i looked at it as paying around 100 hp for an extra year with a mustang. i will prolly wait for the 2014 re design and step up to the SVT version

I am happy to say now, with 49K miles on the '05 GT, that it has never been back to the dealer since the day I bought it. Not a single issue, even minor. I have never owned a car as reliable as this.
Yes, I have taken care of it by doing the required maintenance (air filter, cabin air filter, and fuel filter at 30K), and have gone beyond the requirements by changing the oil every 3K miles, using Mobil 1 Full Synthetic. But, I have also driven the car hard on occasion, including 3 track days at HPDE events (see avatar pic from July 2009).
I'm really sick of hearing people say you should stay away from first year models. In the old days this may have been true, but everything has changed since then.
So yes, I plan on getting a 2011 model. Not sure about the color yet, but I am glad to hear that yellow is back - another yellow one is a distinct possibility!

2011 Sounds awesome...
Here's a quote that makes me want to wait just a little longer...
“I want to take a great car and make it second to none,” he said. “The 2010 Mustang is outstanding, and the next couple of years will be some of the most exciting for Mustang. Our vision is to make Mustang a world-class sports car.”

I feel like I'm starting to see a pattern here. Generally I think the 05-09 did so well, and there are so many out there that a lot of Mustang folks are still paying those off, or just can't justify another new car so soon.
Personally, I would love a 2011, but buying a brand new car these days is such a waste of money. I'm leaving the coutry for a year, and when i come back i am going to look into a nice 05-10. Then again, it could be time to go vintage again...the classics are getting cheaper with people panicking about gas prices.

I think I'm going to wait and see what these "other goodies" in the pipeline are for this generation of Mustang. That's not to say I won't salivate over the '11, though.

Keep waiting, you'll never buy anything. If 2012 kicks ***, 2014 will be better, wait for that. Oh ****, 2016 is coming, new motor. ****, 2018 is it! Did you hear about the 2020?

I'm getting some things in line to own one. I'm still torn on color though. I had ordered and turned down a 2010 Grabber Blue GT, even though I usually stick with black. I might go with the sterling gray or maybe torch or the new race red... Gotta have black accents at least!

Could that mean hope for an IRS rear in some upcoming SE?

I'm planning on buying a 2011 GT coupe with manual transmission, glass roof, and electronics package, probably in Kona Blue with Saddle interior. As far as gears, wheels, and brakes go, I'll have to wait and see exactly what will be available and what the prices will be. The other question is whether the X-Plan will be available right away or not. If all goes well, it would be great to have it by July since I'm taking a long road trip in August.

I'm definitely in! The question now is for what. I will be needing a new daily driver next May, and was prepared to place my order for a stripped V-6 model (with a 300+ HP engine, 6-speed manual tranny, and limited-slip diff. standard, what more could I ask for?) as soon as the order banks open up. Then they just had to show the new 5.0 GT (drop-dead gorgeous engine, 6-speed tranny, 400+ HP, and 25 MPG), which has me thinking all kinds of evil thoughts...Can I live with a 5 MPG mileage penalty? Do I really need 400+ HP? Decisions, decisions...Hopefully (for the sake of my sanity), the GT will be stupid expensive (which for my budget purposes will mean at or north of $30K), common sense will prevail, and I stick with my original plan. But if pricing starts around $28K, I may do something really stupid!

Have an '07, only 43,000 miles, and moved office home so no more commute. Waiting to see how '11's fare with the new engine, tranny etc. Hoping to get a '12, which like the '07 will likely have certain cosmetic and other upgrades. Hope Ford still offers the brick red interior for '12, and maybe some better color choices.
