Who's Buying a '11 Mustang?
Who's Buying a '11 Mustang?
Now that we know everything who is going to buy a 2011 Mustang?
I plan on either selling or trading my 08 GT for an '11-'12 GT depending on finances.

Yeah, me too. But, I'm concerned about the price. I want to at least get X-plan on it before I order or buy one. But, I do like the Race Red. Maybe with some Shelby Torque Thrust M's on it!
It will look good next to my 65.....

Well, since we still don't know about any changes to the GT500 I haven't decided what I might do. Now that we know the Coyote is more or less just an update of the modular design (i.e. same bore spacing), I wouldn't feel so bad about buying a GT500 with its "old tech" 5.4L, especially if they go to an aluminum block. Since the new 5.0L still shares the same bore spacing I wonder what the chances are that they might use its cylinder heads on the 5.4L? Or are there enough other changes to the head design that would make that impossible?
I am! Still waiting for the offical specs to come out (track pack or not, wheel/tire combos, etc) to finalize what I want functionally, but I'm thinking Sterling Grey or Kona Blue. Can't wait till next fall!
The Coyote is an all new engine. Ford said it wasn't "just an update" to an old engine.....
From Ford's press release:
The new Mustang GT continues Ford’s powertrain offensive with an all-new 5.0-liter V-8, which uses advanced technology to deliver 412 horsepower and projected unsurpassed highway mileage of 25 mpg

i might. i will have my truck paid off this fall.
i will be buying a low mile 08-09 gt500 or a 2011 gt. kinda depends on pricing and if what the car market is doing then.
im going back and forth between these two choices. what you guys think?

my '10 will be paid off in 2 1/2 years - gotta love 0% APR. The 2011s will be selling for over MSRP for at least a year - plus there's no way in hell I'm buying a car with a brand new engine. I'll go with a 2012 BOSS or wait until the complete redesign in 2014.
I'll probably wait until 2012 and either pick up a late 2011 GT or an early 2012 GT. My '08 GT will be paid off within 12-18 months, and that will probably be sold or traded in for the new Mustang.
I don't know about that. The economy still isn't doing that great yet. I was hoping to get a 2011 GT with the X-plan. No way would I pay ADM!

I learned a long time ago to not be on the "bleeding edge" of anything. Wait for rev b to be released. It will have tweeks to fix things all the rev A people discovered. You won't be sorry.
