I don't have a Mustang (yet) but if I did, there's no way in hell I'd let my dogs in there. The kid, maybe. No food though.

I'm not crazy about loading up the mutts in the Escape either, but you do what you gotta do.

I've gotten used to it. He turned five this weekend. It takes about ten minutes a day to make it look like he has never been there.

The crappy mic in the camcorder doesn't do it justice.

Dave
Schweet sound! I'd love to sneak on, past my wife, a Borla catback, but she actually really likes the rasp of the OEM system for some reason (can tell when I get home by its distinctive sound, I'm sure). Had a Borla on my Probe GT and it gave it a great sound -- sporty but very refined, the opposite of an obnoxious blatty fart can.

I have a 2 year old and a 4 month old (rear facing seat). Neither will fit in the rear seat, behind me, and I'm only 5'10". Now, if no one is riding shotgun, I can get a seat behind the passenger, but I'd say modern mustangs are basically two seaters. My father's 73 easily fits he, my mother, my wife, and I. I don't know what ford did with all the extra size in the 05, but none of it is in the back seat.

I have a 10-year old black lab that sheds like a ****. Tan interior.

If it weren't for the pet barrier, I'd go completely insane.

I dont need to sit that far back. I can scrunch up quite a ways for shorter trips. Driving three hundred miles, no way!

Working at a dealership, I have learned a few tricks from the prep guys. Anyone have a rubber brush, or rubber coated mason's gloves? They work miracles on dog hair. My dog is in the water during the summer about three to four days a week. I carry towels to dry him off as much as possible, but that doesnt stop the shedding! Leather is so much easier to clean up, but that doesnt help the carpets and headliner. Keep the windows shut and the A/C going.

I don't think I could summon the courage to let a cat or dog into any of my vehicles...

Cleaning out dog hair one weekend, I made the mistake of saying "screw it" and just opening all the windows and the sunroof and tearing *** down the highway in an effort to simply let the wind blow all the hair out.

So basically, instead of simply needing to vacuum out the cargo area, I had to also go after the hair on the seats, floorboards, dash, console, armrests…

My wife hates the car..I am also in the Real Estate field, my income is half of what I made the last 10 years. Looking into getting a 2011 Mustang believe it or not.

Right every single journalist is biased against Ford. Ridiculous!!! First the mustang doesn't have 400 ponies. I would love a 5.0 with 400 naturally aspirated poneys. Second, a well sorted out IRS is better. This does not apply to drag racing, however the regular corvette does very well against the shelby. Further it does apply pretty much everywhere else including, ride quality & handling. There is a reason the world's finest cars have irs... IT'S BETTER.

By all reports the Camaro is a much better car. Do I want Ford to equal or surpass it so I can still drive mustangs as I have since I got my 69 mach in 1976. Yes I do. But, I'm not such a koolade drinker as to kid myself. Ford has some catching up to do.

Oooh, touched a nerve there Eric? What I meant by bias is that they already have preconceived ideas about what is the best for suspension layouts. Give the cars to some basic people who do not understand the arguments about the IRS versus the SRA.
Every single car that you listed costs thousands and thousands of more dollars than the mustang. It should ride better in every way. Hence, my description of a good test between the mustang and a car that will be in the same class. Not a bunch of overpriced exotics.
