what's the Best RPM to launch the GT

Iam planning on taking my track pack to the drag strip for the first time, its still bone stock. I have no promblems getting through the gears. I just need some advice on getting of the line. I want to get the best times possible. Any suggestions?

Stock tires to? I would stay below 2000rpms for sure. It depends on how good the track prep is. Try different rpms and see what hooks the best.

When I took mine out it was the night before the bracket race series so they had good track prep. I launched at 3k, getting the clutch out as quick as I could without just dumping it. This turned out to be quickest for me that night.

Is it on street tires? Honestly you'll probably get your best times launching at low RPM's. Especially with your first time. Every time I go to the track for test and tune I see the 11 GT and newer manuals just spinning through 1st and second and have yet to see one there match my automatic's time when it was bone stock. So try to just ease into the throttle off the line.

Track pack tires are pretty sticky. I have launched a couple times at around 2500-3000 rpm with a quick clutch release (not dumping the clutch but not allowing much slippage). Has hooked up really nicely. I am no pro at launches but I agree any higher rpm launch with stock tires will spin too much

Motor Trend driver launched at 1800 on a YouTube video... He ran a 12.7 in a Track Pack. Personally have zero track experience in mine... But a professional driver should know something...

The 255 Pirellis actually are pretty sticky. With the Track Pack on a well-prepped surface I was hooking the best at 3000. Anything lower you bog, any higher you start spinning.

But it's real frustrating with stock suspension, because when you do hook the wheel hop usually starts.

I presume traction lock is off. Where do you set advance track? on / sport mode / off?
