Whats the appeal of the glass roof?

Good point - Now that I think about it, nearly every passenger in my car is completely surprised when I open the shade. And, although I've received some great compliments about the outside of the vehicle, most fall in love with that roof the moment they see it.
My wife was pissed that I did not go for this option. She's a convertible or sunroof fan; I could live without the sunroof. Convertable? On some cars, but I agree with those that say the Mustang looks good with the coupe roof.
Sun roofs raise the temps inside a car which is what I don't like. Since I live in the "Africa hot" temps of Central Florida, I like to try and keep the inside as cool as possible. Even when the glass roofs are tinted, they still allow heat through.
Maybe the north is better for these.
