Whats the appeal of the glass roof?

Not trying to start a flame war here but I really dont understand the appeal. Are most people doing because it 'opens' the car slightly? Or to park the car and look at the night sky? Im legitimately trying to understand because perhaps Ive misunderstood it all along and Im in the more for a built to order stang so now is my time to get on the wagon

Thanks

I don't like it, but I'm guessing it's the feeling of an open mustang without the ****ing up of your hair of a convertible. lol

I also was on the fence when I ordered new.. But for me I like a coupe to be a coupe. The glass roof makes it feel less like a coupe but not open like a vert so to me its not worth the extra $$$$ but again thats my opinion.

I ordered it on my 2012 last year. I like it but everyone is different.

I think it is more of a show off factor and something for passengers to enjoy. Not really useful for drivers

I got one, worth it if you can get a good deal. It gives you a more open feeling and lets a lot of natural light in. Passengers love the view.

1) I liked the idea of having more light. I don't particularly care for convertibles.
2) extra head room.
3) I can see things like overhead traffic lights that were blocked from view before. (when you're viewing through the top couple inches of the windshield it doesn't take much of an upward angle for things not to be visible, the structure still blocks stuff but sometimes it can be seen through the roof)

Roach, I think Joe summed it up well...LOL Now seriously, it's more for the passenger than the driver, although it is nice to get the natural lighting. Wife loves it but she didn't want it on her car since she wouldn't have time to lean back and enjoy it since she'll be driving. In my car, me driving, she loves the hell out of it.

Frankly, if you have to ask, you probably shouldn't get it.

I think it's cool.

Not for everyone. Wouldn't want it in every car I own. But I will get it in my next Stang.

I wouldn't mind it, it seems like a nice option to have but for 2k and the extra weight I wouldn't put in my Mustang currently.

Gary,

Those are almost precisely the same words that went through my head about this when I first saw it. When I ordered in April, I made sure it was on the order sheet.

It's awesome. If that's not your feeling on it and/or you're in a long-term relationship that wouldn't benefit from some parked night sky viewing time *wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more*, then don't bother; easy decision.

Cool factor. Does make the interior feel larger and more open.

It would be nice to be caught in a softball size hail storm . That, and the extra weight (28 lbs. i think) is why i didn't want a glass roof.
