I prefer the new design over that. My god that looks even worse.

By the way the rear end probably would have looked much better had they not curved it around towards the rear quarters. I think had they left it straight and kept the taillights the same size instead opf tapering them also the car may have looked much better.

Which is exactly my only reason for holding out, until then
You can only hope so.... but look at recent Mustang history. Ford doesn't seem to want to introduce a new bodystyle on an anniversary year. Look at the last two anniversary marks (45 & 40) for example. There's a good chance that the new 2010 bodystyle will be around into the 50th anniversary. Then again, if the sales drop off because people aren't happy with the styling, then we might see changes much quicker.

There's always the 2015 model as well.

I like the interior but the only thing I like about the exterior is the hips. Happy I got the current body style instead.

Things usually look better in person than pictures or videos. Right now (without seeing one) I'm very happy with my 2005 GT. Plus I like the fact that my car is now an older version, just like me~

Found this Pic on Flickr. It Kinda reminded me of the Concept from 2003, but it's a Closeup of the V6.

I definitely like that they finally put LED tail lights on this thing. But I like the soon-to-be late model body style better than this new body style. The 05+ style looks more retro/muscle, this new one looks like it's more euro/hip.

Have any of you guys browsed the other major Mustang forums? I looked at four of them over the holiday weekend, just to see what other people were saying. Not surprisingly, there is an overwhelming negative view of the 2010, mostly directed at two things: 1 - rear end styling and 2 - lack of HP improvements.

Some of the comments are hilarious... Check it out for yourself!

Just be glad you aren't a Z fan, they got their new engine and it isn't that much better than the 3.5L they had. Only about a 25 hp bump and about the same torque. Compared to just the minor things done to the 4.6L which netted a 15 hp gain and 5 ft-lb of torque.

The new Z is way uglier than the old Z. I hate what they did to the headlights and taillights. A 25HP increase doesn't seem too bad though. It's still a very quick car for a V6. In fact, it looks like the initial reports show it should be faster than the V8 Mustang GT.

The main reason it's faster is that they trimmed some fat off of it; I think it is about 80 lbs lighter. It's not the hp increase that is the problem, it's the lack of an increase in torque. From the tests I have seen it should be a driver's race. I am basing this off what the '08 Bullitt could do. Both look to be around 0-60 in 5 seconds and low to mid 13s in the quarter.
