2010 is like going from a 1970 Mach 1 to the bloated 1972 whale mustang with a japanese look to it.

Good bye Ford, its the mid seventies all over for you again.

 

In the '50s and '60s, having the antenna on the front fender was considered old-school, while having it on the rear fender was considered sporty, especially when swept back to any degree.

Could be similar thinking this time around? Remember, the Mustang is still primarily "retro" or "heritage".

Great, the new mustangs tail looks like a Celica. How wonderful.

 

All they had to do was tweak a design like this for the rear and maybe plus the new front and you would have a winner....

i have to say the new mustang is awsome looking, but ford really needs to step up to the plate with performance...the mustang should be putting out atleast 400 hp stock to keep up with dodge and chevy....i own a 2006 Roush stage 3, and with a supercharger it keeps up with stock challengers and will probably get smoked by the new camaro....i thought for sure they would have put more horsepower in the 2010's....

 

Maybe they are useing the old tech.(4.6) in the "new" design because they think that the new style "should" sell based on it's updated exterior and interior(think paying off research and development). Then once the new/cool factor wares off (should be quick) they will come out with the 5.0. Not to mention the GT500 coming and who knows how many SEs. Don't forget the fact that Ford will be on it's second model year before anyone actually gets a new camaro(if it ever comes out).

Wow chill out. Your arguments are weird. You can't seem to stop leg humping the 2010 mustang enough to read the post and to look at what most people are trying to say about the car. I know the 2010 doesn't look like an eclipse. It looks like a real decent car until you get to the back. It sucks. The eclipse and the 2010 stang share the same unproportional rear ends. It looks too gawdy and big for the rest of the design. This pic gives a good view of how bloated the rear looks.

 

This photoshop fixes most of what's wrong with the 2010....

 

Yep, actually I hate the new 2010 which is a good thing. Our 05-09's will hold value.

ugh.. your arguments are so out there its insane. i'm kinda starting to think if you actually had an s-197, you wouldn't act like you do. in other words, don't be a poser.

furthermore, you'd have to be crazy not to see alot of great things in the 2010. it's got a whole lot of potential, and as-is, i think it's beautifull.
