Quaint.

Some people do but I am not one of them however what drives people to buy a vehicle typically is first impressions and obviously what the exterior looks like. I was merely stating that the 2010+ looks great on the inside but I don't know what they were thinking with the when it came to the outside. Some cues are nice but the rear is ugly. The antenna looks like something you'd pick up at a flea market, no love for those taillights and the rear difusser is just ugh, something I would expect on the back of an SUV. I have seen a painted version of the diffuser and it isn't too bad but stock it looks like k-rap!

IMO, painting the diffuser makes it look even fatter. Like a pair of mom jeans.

I'm dissapointed.
I couldn't agree more. I wanted to be upbeat, but that butt is just ugly pure and simple compared with the original. The one bright spot is the interior. I do love what they did there.

I'll take my '05 with the '10 interior and the '11 400hp 5.0 please.

Ford did a absolutely terrible job on this car. The *** end is way to Euro something i cannot stand especially in an American ICON! The power antenna on the rear quarter is terrible. The lack of HP increase is lame. The hood has to many lines in it. Can't stand the fact that it has pretty much no spoiler or the option of a decent looking spoiler. We did not have enoiugh storage in teh cockpit as it was and it appears as though they removed the center console and on top of that they made the cup holders have aflip opne lid. Hate It, Hate, It, Hate it!!!

I do like the interior overall and the front is not to bad but agian the hood ruins it.

Ford Didn't Remove the Console Storage, They just made it Flush Opening, to Enhance the New Soft Touch Materials and put it at a better level for the driver, matching the consoles profile with the door armrests now.

See, I'm a bit surprised to hear people say this, particularly when you consider this.

There is an optional pedestal spoiler.

Don't you just love all these uninformed knee-jerk reactions? Good stuff.

Doesn't change anything I think it is to Euro and Do not like it. God forbid someone not like it and say so on this site. Seems anyone who does is quickly chastised by others. Really pathetic to be honest and uncalled for. Everyone is entitle to either like it or not and express those views..

The *** end is horrendous.

They certainly did not improve on the looks of the car in fact i feel they went backward not forward.

As for the spoiler it most likely will look out of place based on the shape of the rear. And since none of the images show a different spoiler I am not assuming anything or having a knee jerk rection. I am basing my opinion on what is available to look at in the current images or the brochure i read

Just saw the new mustangs at the LA auto show press day. It definitely looks better in person then in photos. LOVE the hips. Still not a big fan of the tail lights and the plastic grill sides on the GT, but the car does look sportier and thinner. Overall I like it. The interior looks awesome. They had a whole section of all the options (grills, rims, louvers, etc) that will be available. Really impressed with all the custom options these mustang will have. I love my 08 GT so I probably wont buy one. I do believe it will do well in keeping the mustang heritage at the top.

No more grille fogs for the pony package, and yes you should've taken more photos.

Well, you're certainly entitled to not like it, of course. Not everyone does. I think it looks great, however.

We will simply agree to disagree.

I'd be curious to know what percentage of people who don't like the new car own a current-gen S197. Frankly, I really haven't read a whole lot of convincing arguments against the new S197 (though some have made good points) and wonder if the nitpicking and disdain is (subconsciously or not) simply due to the new S197 being the new kid on the block and thus rendering the current S197 yesterday's news.

Owning a '69 Mustang and not a modern one, I don't have a dog in the argument either way, but it does seem some are over-reacting against the car. I wonder if it's due to the genuine belief that the car is ugly or the simple fact that it is a change and thus different from what we have now.

He basically is, and I agree. Of course not all current gen owners hate the 2010, but there certainly is a high percentage who seem to hate it for no other reason than it is new.

I've been holding off buying an S197 until I knew for sure what the '10 would look like. Now that I know, I'm going to buy a new '09. I'd be more than disappointed in myself if I let the '09s go away without buying one and was forced to buy a new '10 instead. Of course I'd most likely go for a low-mileage '09 instead if that ever happened! LOL

I own an 08 and i wanted to like the refresh because i wanted to upgrade to the 5.0. I do not like the rear, lights or the black plastic diffuser. I like V6 front end much better than the GT. Love the hips and interior. Nothing about being jealous because i was hoping it would be better than i think it is. Maybe if i was 22 and not 42 i would think different.
