Where's the "I love it and would totally get one...if I had two nickels to rub together" option?

I am kind of shocked that we are getting votes for "No real improvement, Ford may have took a step backwards." I am guessing those are the ones that hate the exterior styling? The interior is leaps and bounds better than '05-'09. Performance wise, I don't think I have really heard anyone that owns an '08-'09 Bullitt say "my performance sucks." I guess if your only goal in life is to be faster than a Camaro or Challenger, than yeah I guess they did fail. But, hp doesn't always sell cars, see the 400 hp GTO for example. Personally, I think the interior improvements and options available will move a lot of these and in my opinion about time these options are available.

EXACTLY! And we'll have 5.0 in 2011 to. I can't really complain about anything, the car is great especially when you consider the times we're in now too.

I don't like the styling. I'm trying real hard to like it and maybe it will grow on me in time, but for now I just don't like it. The taillights are horrible. I hate that they sweep up from the bottom...too Japanese in my opinion. The black plastic on the bottom rear reminds me of those rub strips that old people buy from JC Whitney to protect their bumpers.

The side view is okay..no real complaints excpet that the "C" is no longer a "C" because the upper crease runs past it toward the rear.

The front view looks too squashed together. I love the way the hood looks like a cowl induction hood. I hate that the antenna is on the rear quarter panel. Another Japanese inspired design... ugh.

Overall I'm pretty disappointed with the design.

As much as I like the interior I really don't like the exterior. The rear is ugly as hell. Maybe it will grow on me but my first impression is . Sorry but if my car was due to be traded it and I had a choice between the new style, the camero or the challenger....well, the mustang would be my last pic at this point.

You can put the nicest interior and the fastest motor in an ugly car but you still end up with an ugly car. Correct me if I am wrong but when you are driving down the street people see the exterior of the car, not the interior. I agree that the interior is awesome but I think the exterior was a complete failure on this one.

So people still buy a car based on what other people will think?

Quaint.

Not me. I buy a car based upon how much I like it. And exterior styling is a big part of my own determining factors.

There's still time to buy an '09, thank God. LOL.

Imagine if the Internet was around in 1969 and 1970. I wonder if people would be debating the big changes between those two years of Mustangs. Think about it... look at headlight and taillight changes between those two years. I'm pretty sure the same debates would have been happening on Mustang forums all over the Internet. And the funny thing is that I much prefer the 69 styling to the 70 styling, but I think they both looked excellent overall. I just wish I could say the same thing about the 2010 Mustang...

I like the interior improvements. Especially the door panel inserts. Though, I don't like the fact that they make it hard to replace the head unit.

The hips are sexy. The headlights are ok.

The rest of the exterior changes suck, IMO.
-The taillight shape is terrible. At some angles, it makes the car look like it backed into a truck.
-The grill shape is good, but the grill treatment (all the grey plastic around it) is terrible. If it was body colored, I might like it.
- The rear diffuser looks like a Prius diffuser. The GT500/CS rear diffuser was just enough to keep it from looking like an import. This diffuser is way overboard.
- Not really digging the bumper shapes. The front tapers in, then they stuck some diffusers on it.

Well, that's why I said "I am guessing those are the ones that hate the exterior styling?" I personally like the new better than the old, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I think Ford did what it needed to do and reach out to a broader market. I think fans of Euro and Japanese cars can even embrace this car as it has incorporated a lot of cues from those cars. This car will not just be for the true Ford enthusiast or muscle car head. Even though i do not like much but the interior and hips i can see where Ford is going. It needs to sell cars and reach buyers that would not buy a Mustang otherwise.

Love the hips. Love the integrated duck tail (if that is what you want to call it).

Hate the tail light treatment. Also dislike the black plastic at the bottom all the way around the car.
Maybe it is the still photos, but the entire car looks a little squished together front to back. Wasn't Ford wanting to make the Mustang look smaller than it really is? The result looks a little "squished" to me.

If I didn't currently own a Tungsten 2007 GT with only 4,388 miles on the odometer, I'd of course like to have one. Or, I'd find an '09 GT they were cutting the prices on to move 'em out.
