Ya know, even though my car came loaded, and I got a lot of options added on by the dealer for free (window tint, GT500 exhaust, security package, custom interior), and I paid $3k under MSRP, and I LOVE my 2011 GT the way it is, I still feel a touch of buyer's remorse reading all about these smokin' deals folks got on 2012s. The $3k rebate and $750 coupon seem amazing, but did not exist in 2011. That's the way it goes...I guess.

I had $3000 incentive, $750 coupon private offer, and was pretty flexible other than wanting a base GT with manual trans. So I got a pretty good price all in on a base GT with no options at all, just over $25k (that's with everything including taxes, tags, fees).

As far as the interior goes, previous models were described as barren and arid, with what felt like cheap plastic for the seats, and a squeaky chassis. I can't completely agree with those opinions, as I have been a die hard fan of the mustang for years. However, I will agree that this time around they have put a wonderful new luxurious feel to the interior. It has roughly the same interior designs but with softer materials, and once again, a more modernized, rounded appearance. The center console is now non-existent to allow more room for shifting gears. Ford has also nixed the ashtray and relocated the electrical socket to the top of the dashboard rather than beneath the radio, which is reportedly to make it easier to power your navigation device.

I bought my '11 5.0L Coupe a year ago. Brembo Pkg and 3.73 gears (not a premium model)....
$32,585 = MSRP.
$30,585 = Invoice Total.
$29,522 = D-Plan (employee) price ($3,063 off MSRP in this case).
-$1,500 = Rebate available at the time.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
$28,022 + tax/license and a great loan rate through my credit union.
