Took the Green Machine out for another cruise today. Gorgeous day for it. About 80 degrees and sunny. A slight breeze.
That's 3 times so far this week. Tomorrow looks crappy, but Sunday looks like another cruising day!

I took mine to the touchless car wash for a rinse. we are on well water where i live and with the drought, i don't wash them at home right now. Besides, in this heat it's a relief to do it in 5 minute drive through
Dropped by the new home build site to talk to the builder about room for my 4 post lift and he let out a series of expletives when he saw the car LOL

Pulled the Ford Racing gauge pod off, again, and put the screw in the visor that I lost last time. Took a half hour to find the correct screw at Lowes.
Couldn't get the screws in tight with it mounted so had to undo it from the dash. The 2 screws holding it in place are a ***** to get to, and then I couldn't remember what size they were so almost an hour trying to get to them (after getting one to come out discovered the socket I was using was just a little off so the second one was easier). Since it was open I checked the oil pressure gauge to make sure nothing was loose there causing it to read funny (like 100 psi at idle after the car sits for a bit) - I'm starting to think that something might be screwed up with the gauge itself. And checked the wiring for the light on my boost/vacuum - discovered that the power wire had come loose so now that lights up once again! And on the plus side the pod is mounted much more secure than last time and doesn't shake; I think that I didn't get it all the way on the back post last time. So no more rattle from the visor and no more shake from the pod either.
Waiting on the new waste gate from Hellion. I sure hope that is the problem with the overboosting. John Urist emailed me back on Friday and said he was checking with Turbosmart on the shipping since I haven't received it yet to see what the shipping date was and the expected arrival at my place.

My oil psi gauge reads about 90-100 psi after a cold start-up.
And it will go there when I give it gas, almost anytime, regardless of how warm/cold it is

I agree the numbers seem high but as long as it's consistent I think that's what matters. Hearing other peoples readings is good to know.

The odd thing is that it goes to 100 psi at idle AFTER it warms up. Once I bring the rpm's up it goes to 70-80, and cruising it sits at 70-80 until I come to a stop light and as soon as it goes to idle the gauge goes back to 100 psi. It didn't do that before the engine swap; it stayed right at that 70-80 psi and would drop a little at idle.

No lie Tom! I was pleased with the outcome. I removed the 5.0 badge and replaced with the Powered by Ford Racing Badge too.
Coyote, I put Pirelli 285/35/19 on the rear, still 255/40/19 on the front. Thanks for the compliment.

Those "Don't Tread On Me" Plates are pretty slick. I put on side markers too today, after having to peel everything off to pass Va State Inspection two days ago. It's funny how excited my barber was to pose with the car.... And I didn't ask him.
