Well, I officially activated her insurance today. Drove for her 10 minutes. Oh how I missed her. It was liberating. I didn't care if she was dirty. I'll wash her this weekend.

Then tonight we played Forza on our new Xbox. When your son picks a Shelby on Forza and does nothing but burnouts during a race, PRICELESS!!!

Glad to hear you finally got to drive her, Burton!

I've been using Chemical Guys V07 spray sealant as my window cleaner. Works better than their fricken glass cleaner lol

Glass is my albatross Patrick. I guess I'm getting a little better at it, but I never get it right on the first shot, and rarely on the second attempt. Depending on the angle of the sun, I'm always finding areas I missed. I keep a bottle of Stoners and MF cloths in the trunk, and when I see a goober I clean the spot first chance I can. It's an ongoing process, like keeping garage dust off the car or my wheels clean.

Yesterday was a b!tch. I have very hard water, so after a wash I first use straight vinegar to cut through the water spots, followed by several swipes of glass cleaner using MF towels.

Only drive on cloudy days, and when you go to a show, park in the shade.

Finally swapped in the new L&M twin-66mm throttle body.
Unfortunately I now can't drive the car for a couple of weeks since I'm sending the intake tube out for hydro dipping.

Hopefully the hydro dipping you get done is better than what JLT does... I have their CF Hydro dipped CAI on my car and the engine heats up the Strut tower brace so much that it came into contact with the intake tube and pulled a chunk out of the hydro dipping. I noticed the tube was close to touching the brace when I installed it so I put a piece of the soft side of Velcro on the brace where I thought it might touch, but the engine must have flexed up into the hot brace right next to the Velcro. I can't see the damage when everything is installed, but it still bothers me. All the other hydro dipping I have under the hood has held up. If I could only find a CF cover for the second coolant tank...

I'm not a fan of JLT, and that's one of the reasons I'm gonna have the guy shave off the moulded-in JLT name off the intake tube.
Can't wait to get everything back!!

I used to use stoner's and from what I found with that product, less is more. I used to saturate the window and wipe with one MF, then go back over with a dry one, and that kinda worked...

But I'm telling you, give Chemical Guys V07 a try. Even if it works no better than what you have (it will, since I used to use what you're using now and had the same problem), it smells like orange tic-tacs and you might want to drink it

As for me, I re-purchased all my BMR rear end bits, but added in adjustable LCAs this time since my suspension shop showed me the thrust angle of the axle was off a little. Still within spec, but with the issues I've had on the rear end, "good enough" is not good enough for me anymore. 0.13* may very well be within factory spec, but I'd rather it be 0*.

Round 3 tomorrow: engine bay, wheels/tires, interior and all the little nooks and crannies that I can reach. Hopefully Thursday I can install the CAI.
Sounds good Tom!!

It snowed the end of last week and my area threw down a TON of salt. It's everywhere! Wish I could take advantage of this 70 degree weather.......hopefully it'll rain soon and wash it away.

All in good time Tony. Thought I'd be finished today but I'm moving like an old man loaded up on downers. Friggin' beat. Still got the interior to do tomorrow, maybe the CAI too. But everything else shines like a new penny, down to every nut and bolt that my belly would allow me to reach.

I did have enough energy for a take-out run. Top down naturally.

By the way....am I the only idiot who does this before cleaning wax residue off of body plastic and treating the moldings? Hell, I even mask off my hood heat extractors to prevent buffing dust from getting all over the engine bay.
