I bought it more for style than performance.
I see no need to show off by gunning past everyone on the highway - that seems rather juvenile. Yes, I paid thousands extra for the V8 when I could have had all the style I wanted with the V6. But I've always wanted a classic Mustang, and V8 is the only fitting engine for such a car. I'll enjoy it for its possibilities, but I'm never going to take it to the track or drive it 130 MPH.

I'm actually surprised we only have 1 person so far who has bought for Style as the main focus for purchase, i was expecting more...
But then again, most those people that buy for style are not looking for mustang/automotive forums at all...

I've never been someone who cared much about power for the sake of power alone. I strongly considered buying a V6, but decided if I'm going to buy a Mustang for the first time, I might as well get the real deal. I'll probably never drive it over 80 MPH, but it's cool to know that the car is capable of so much more. And I do plan to drive it on some country roads at some point to really enjoy the driving experience.

I'm the "style" voter you refer to. The Mustang is an American icon, and driving it is like driving part of automotive history, for me. It's more about that than the raw power, from my point of view, and I love the retro looks, inside and out (including the red brick interior, which I ordered).

^ well i was curious, because he said he bought his shelby just for performance, so to be sure thats a true statement i asked if he would still buy his shelby looked just like a bottom like V6, but with all the shelby performance

Yes I bought the Shelby for the Engine. I was considering an 11 GT as well but the Shelby Engine is already build for the boosted power, and easily modded for lots more.
All version of the 10+ Mustang have the same basic looks. If they had built the Shelby with a different front end or rims, I could have simply changed that with aftermarket parts. I did it with the 06 GT I had. Having a nice Package from Ford is a plus, I admit.

Yeah, I also bought it for fun. Love the retro looks, which is why I first bought an '06. Sold that and retired to Arizona. Suddenly, 412 hp to play with, so I had to have another Stang!
It's one ride with style, performance, fun, and all for a reasonable price.

Bert sums me up pretty good ... that and I've had V6 M/T Mustangs as Year-Round Daily Drivers for the past 16 years and it was time to replace my '04.
I am a die hard Ford & Mustang nut but I seriously considered a V6 Camaro or V6 Genesis Coupe before the 2011 V6 Mustang specs came out last October. Once these specs were out, I never gave the other two a 2nd look as the V6 Mustang overall just blows them both away.

Man I'm so glad to see the V6 fans finally getting a car they deserve.. The new V6 is simply just a great ride..
