What am I missing?

Just saw a clip on youtube of a 0-120 mph run, where there was a digital display of car speed on the tach. I did not know of this!

How do we do this??

yea for some reason, links of other topics of the forum aren't working...?

But it's the engineering test mode- there's been 2-3 topics on it now. Kinda cool, as it's a look into a lot of different parameters. But it's been around since 1999...

1.) Press and hold the 'Setup' and 'Reset' buttons for the message center (located near the headlamp controls)

2.) While keeping these buttons pressed, start the vehicle.

3.) When the message center displays 'ENGINEERING TEST MODE', release the buttons. (the first test will be a gauge test, so don't freak out when the gauge needles go nuts and make weird noise)

4.) You can scroll through the different engineering readout displays and tests by pressing the Reset button.

5.) To end Engineering Test Mode, turn off the vehicle ignition, and open the door (to kill the accessory delay).

The vehicle will start up on 'regular' mode next time, unless you do the button press-and-hold again.

A few pics off my phone...

I tried this on my Boss's 2011 GT-500 today and it didnt work (the car was low on gas so the low fuel was displayed in the DIY center) think the low fuel caused my issue? Isat there on the buttons for 45+ seconds

I get my car back from Livernois (news on that tommorow ) and will try it on my GT.......

That is something I have missed on this car that my '09 VW CC had. The digital display for speed is nice when in high enforcement areas. Much easier to read then trying to look at the speedo. Thanks for posting.
