Tape stripe delete on MCA package

Hi, on the Ford site I was building a V6 with the MCA package but I don't like the hockey stripe so I added the tape stripe delete option. That had the side effect of removing the MCA grill and replacing it with the standard one. I tried the same with the Pony Package and the stripe was removed and its grill left in tact. Does anyone know if the tape stripe delete option on the MCA really does revert back to the standard grill or if this is just a bug in the site? I REALLY love the look of the MCA grill... I REALLY hate the hockey stripe.

The first car delivered to someone on this site(actually his mother) was a MCA package and they did delete the stripe apparently.

Really though it is nothing to worry about even if they don't delete it, it will peel off pretty easy with just a little heat applied with a hair dryer.

If you're basing that on the picture the website generates of the car as you build it, be careful. My experience while fiddling around building the 2010s was that it was more better to go back to the very beginning and start over because some of the changes didn't show in the picture after a 'delete'.

Yes, the B&P web page is still screwed up so take nothing from it as gospel.

Wrong. It was a Pony Package car with the stripe delete. OP I did the same thing on the B&P site. Don't worry. I am sure the grille doesn't go away if you actually ordered the car. Or as stated above, you could just order the car as is and remove the stripe yourself. Not difficult at all.

MCA, Pony, whatever, still a package with a stripe that did get the stripe deleted.

Shaun's mom's car is a Pony Package, not MCA.

*EDIT: Of course, reading the entire thread before replying helps to avoid redundant redundancy.

I've ordered my MCA with the stripe delete and my ETA is 5/6. I'll let you know how it turns out assuming nobody else here gets these options delivered to them first.

Per the order guide, you can get 47A OTT Stripes on any V6 but with either 201A or 202A (Pony or MCA) you must also select 46D tape stripe delete. 943 Hood & Side Stripes also appear to be available on all V6 trims and req's 46D also.

Question that we don't know "for sure" is does 46D also eliminate the MCA blackout treatment on the rear ??

I'll post pictures and info once mine arrives. According to Ford's customer service line, it's currently on the train en route to my dealer. My 5/6 ETA (or earlier) to DFW is looking promising at this point.

Awesome! Your avatar is pretty much what I want except the color. Can't wait for the pics.

Tape stripe delete on the MCA DOES NOT delete the blackout treatment on the rear. That is a fact.

How did you come to know this as fact?

I'd like to know this too. . . I left the stripes because I was afraid the rear was an appliqué they'd also remove as part of the tape stripe delete.

And YOUR avatar is exactly what I'm looking for!... Just without the hockey stripe.

Time for a bump. Evolution Performance has received their 2011 MCA Mustang in Sterling Gray. They ordered it with the tape stripe delete which deleted the hockey stick stripes. The front billet grille is still in tact (which we all expected) but I'm still waiting for a response confirming that the rear is still blacked out.

Saw that on Facebook and didn't even notice. I wonder now what they're going to do with it.

I see turbo, tune, exhaust, and suspension in it's future. We'll see.
