With the sound tube removed, you lose that pseudo-esque "stereo exhaust" sound. I actually like it with the system removed. It sounds like a normal car again.

Hmmmm....remove it from the firewall location and romove all the foam and route the hose to the outside of the car to scare off those ricers......lol

Just got my kit today, this is a no-brainer for the Boss. I already have the restrictor plates removed on the side exhaust, so I couldn't hear a difference at all. I would say that it was (very) slightly quieter on the highway.
The access to the dipstick, as someone mentioned earlier, is worth it.
