Are you sure about that? I thought this was done completely through the brakes...

I am wrong more often than I care to admit... so it could be true.

With the advent of fly-by-wire throttle, traction control is much more involved then in the past. A number of things can be used to limit wheel spin, from applying the rear brakes, pulling timing, partially or fully closing the throttle, etc. I'm almost positive that since fly-by-wire was introduced, they stopped cutting fuel, though.

One thing is for sure - you cannot get anywhere near the best 0-60 time with traction control on. 6.1 second or longer sounds about right.

I never tuned my car. I did have a check engine light but the dealer said it was only a bad o2 sensor....i also had qdc put in by the dealer. Ever since I had tranny issues and took it to dealerships, my car was never as fast as it was. Sure it kicks it upward of 3.5k but it doesnt feel like it on the low end. It really sucks. I used my iphone with someone else pressing start/stop. I dont even want to take it to dealer since they manage to @&$& up even more. Sigh.

Use a thinner person to press the stop watch.....lol

Really, a second person slows the car down plus manually pushing the timing buttons builds in a human reaction time issue.

Make sure it says "advancetrac off" that means everything is off. U can't be racing it with TC on. It bogs every time

I'm wondering if something is out of tune here that might be related to your failed O2 sensor. Did they tell you why it failed? ...or maybe you have a clogged catalytic converter or two???

Have you checked your fuel mileage lately?
