I'm looking at a V6 with 45k miles being sold by a Ford dealer and wasn't sure if I should go through the hassle of an inspection since there is still 15k miles of warranty (drivetrain). Carfax looks good.

BTW,thanks for the replies in that other thread I started about the GT a while back.

Yes. Short story in 2006 I purchased a used 2006 mustang with 1200 miles. It was flawless... So I thought. It had a clean car fax and insurance report. Drove fine and seemed like a great buy.

In less than 3 months and 1000 miles the car was falling apart and it was only a weekend car. Took it into a ford dealership different from the one I purchased it from and they voided the factory warranty on the spot as the car had been totaled or near totaled prior to my purchase and some of the parts used in the repair were non OEM.

I know a lot more about cars now than I did then and I probably would have still purchased it. You can never be too safe.

Yes have it looked at for sure. make sure they are certifing it as well. That covers you.

Rob Man I hope that dealership has your name on it now!!

That sucks. Sounds like the car might have fallen off the delivery truck to the Dealership. You know that are allowed to still sell it after it is fixed or someone wrecked it on a test drive.

I wish my name was on it, they went out of business later that year. Go figure.
