OP, my advice to you is KEEP your v6 for now. Hold off a few more years until the 15 comes out. Wait to see what the new mustang looks like. Pay more down on your current v6 and then if you like the 15, get the 5.0 model. Don't get caught up in the "Oh, you didn't get the V8." Even with a 5.0 that still won't be enough power for you. You will want the Gt500 with 660 HP. And of course 660 HP won't be enough and fast enough after the 2020 5.0 with 750 HP or whatever insane HP they give it.

Bro, Ford could give the v6 model 400 HP for the 2015 model, 12 less HP than the 2011 & 12 5.0 and mustang people will still say, its not a 5.0 V8.

If we don't have our flying cars by 2020, there will be hell to pay.

I'm a v8 guy always have been, but the new v6 is a great motor. There is no shame in tooling around in THIS v6. I would just enjoy the heck out of your outstanding car at least until you are even up. What ever you do i hope it works out for you.

I already have, I just haven't taken any pictures of the car since adding them. When done with my custom wheel caps, I'll take new pictures.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but park your car next to mine, and see which one gets the most attention.

Nobody (that I've noticed) is "jumping on the guy". Financially, it's not a very smart move, that's all.

And "good" is a relative term.

If you think that was harsh, wait a few weeks when I post the latest pics of the car. You ain't seen harsh. I get a chuckle just thinking about it.

Thanks. I get a kick out of these guys that trash my car. If I had done the same thing to a GT, it would have been "awesome", which is f*cking absurd. It would have required the same amount of thought, planning, and money, but because it's a V6, some of the V8 guys get an attitude.

And to be 100% accurate, no superglue was harmed in the making of my car (although I do have some custom wheel caps that are almost ready to put on it, and I used some super glue on them).

As long as I commute to work I will drive a v6, I will enjoy the day however when my v8 sits in my garage next to my v6 and gets to play on the weekends and on special occasions. (Put the miles on the v6-play in the v8)

Nothing wrong with v6's-bottom line it's still a mustang and looks bada$$!

Love you all long time

I got the v6, wish i could have gotten the v8, I just love the sound and the low end torque..but the 6 is a great motor like some have said so it's no longer "oh, you have the 6"......now this isn't to start any conflicts as we all have our own opinion, but I keep thinking well if I can get a good amount for my v6 ( it only has 2700 miles on it, stored winters, never driven in rain, etc) I could probably swing the v8 now or next year...but....I just don't like the looks of the 13 as much as I do the 12. I keep trying to, but just can't seem to get captivated by it. Maybe it will grow on me as time goes by...

I don't care what other people think about my car. I bought it to drive not park. I also like to haul *** and listen to my 5.0.

Either the V6 or V8 are both great looking cars. To the OP, were just a short time now away from the all new 2015 Stang. If you want a more powerful stang and stepping up to the 5.0 is important to you, then go for it. But why sell now when were so close to the next generation stang. If you sell now, your going to take a big loss. If you then love the 15 stang you may want to sell your just bought 5.0 and again take a big financial loss. If you don't like the 15 stang, then sell your current V6 and buy a pre owned 13 or 14 5.0. Its a win, win.

Also, have you considered just making some mods to your v6 to make it faster than the 5.0. Such as 3.73 gears, performance tuner and pro charger super charger.

When I started autocrossing my 6 in 2006 I got alot of snubs from the cobra and GT guys, a year later I was middle of the pack in ALL v8 street class and finally took 4th in 2009, yeah its a 6, but its setup to carve corners and last race my time on street tires was better than 10 out or 11 people running race tires in novice class. Not that this is headlines as most of the mustang heavy metal are rockin miata's now. Only thing I am missing is the insurance premium and ability to roast some tires, and that tasty exhaust note. Now that its paid off I am saving for a GT500, we'll see but everytime I get in the 6 I smile, and thats what its really all about, MY satisfaction. Dude wants a v8 get a v8 and **** the critics.

I'll be honest I was tempted a little by a 2013...

But at this point it makes more sense to wait for the next iteration (and to have my current loan paid down some).

random but I checked with my future insurance and if I would of gotten a 5.0, my insurance would of been the same price somehow. I was messing around with their online quote calculator and put some random 5.0's vin in and it still gave me the same quote.
I wanted a v6 and that's what I'm getting. I'm gonna learn to drive stick on it and I don't want a 422 hp monster to learn on and end up hurting others or myself. I have practiced already anyway with other cars but it'll be my first manual. Since everyone will pee their pants for the 2015 and sell their garage queen gt premiums for dirt cheap, I may trade mine in and get one if I'm not 100% happy with my little monster.

At this point he is NOT saving any money, kills the trade in on the car and is just now in the ball park of a stock 5.0...

Ehhh.... Definitely faster than a stock 5.0. About the same money too. Not that I'm suggesting it's a good idea
