I wish that it was in the 2012's simply for in traffic purposes. WOT & tune is better than a manual

A couple of questions regarding the operation of the Mustang automatic transmission :

- Can you "shift" manually in "D" as well? In my Euro-Focus I can up- or downshift in D by just pushing the button. If you don't perform additional shift the transmisson (Getrag Powershift) goes back into the automatic shifting mode. Is the operation in a Mustang similar?

- You are in S and active "Selsctshift" (by "shifting" a couple of gears). How are you able to go back into "Sport-mode" (=S)?

- You are in "Selectshift" (in a tall gear), rpm is low (~ 1500-2000rpm) and you floor the pedal. Will the Transmission shift down or will the car "pull" in the tall gear by using the cars torque?

(I am not native english-speaking, so my English might be far away from perfect.)

No sir, it has to be in the sport mode to do this.

Not sure, but I would say you will need to shift back to drive then shift again into the sport mode.

The computer will take care of you in this situation. I have found in mine that if it's over 1000 rpm's it will stay in the current gear if I gradually press the pedal, under that it will downshift itself. My guess is the tranny will shift to the necessary gear if you floor the pedal.

And your English is just fine. Probably better than mine at times.

I had an auto (4spd) in my 02 and it would chirp i to second from factory just leaving it in D. With a tune i could spin most of first and chrip all the way to 4th. Granted it was a gt with a few other mods

Now i have a 12 v6 and the auto shifts so smooth i hardly notice a drop in power between shifts, my buddy has the same car pretty much but has a tune and he can chirp 1-2 2-3 and sometimes 3-4. The shifts are much firmer under WOT and a lil more noticeable under normal driving conditions. Can really feel the kick when flooring it to pass a camaro though (;

From factory, autos arent meant to be hammerfists. Theyre meant to be smooth and made for easy cruising. Tunes release the inner racehorse and in a sense unlock the transmission to be a performer rather than just something that makes the car move.

+1 100% . The 6R80 is bulletproof and the tune just unleashes the beast from within.

And this is said by someone who has actually driven an auto with Seleshift? Or is this said by someone who drives a 2012 or older mustang?
