On my '10 GT the nuts and 'key' were in a separate bag in the spare tire well. The dealer will install them if you want.

let the dealer install & tell them to use the keyed lug by hand no air tool so that when they go rotate your tires & it breaks off like two of mine did they are on the hook ! had I installed would have been up to me !

My State Farm agent office asked the very specific question does the car have any AFTER-MARKET security system installed? Didn't care whether or not it had a factory security package (which mine doesn't).

Never been asked specidically about a aftermarket security system on my car, just whether it had one on it. Every time I would tell them it had the factory PATS system on it and always have gotten a discount for it. The discount was stated on the quote. Don't recall it being a lot but the discount was there.

My old job was installing alarms, remote starts, etc.
A professional install will include the alarm brain being hidden in an unaccesable location. All wiring SOLDERED, not scotch locked to the factory harnesses and taped to look like factory looms. if done correctly should be extremly low matainence.

ill put it to you this way. in 15 years of the alarm and remote start on my 95, i adjusted the shock sensor 1 time, that was at the time of install.. no false alarms ever, anytime the alarm did go off. which was 2 times. there was soemone trying to mess with it.

personally Directed Electornics ( DEI ) aka VIPER, PYTHON, etc make the best out there. thats what i used and installed. now they have an app for your blackberry or i-phone to remote start / alarm access your car.

I'm going to give my VIN number to my State Farm agent next week to see how much money i'll save. They told me over the phone a couple months ago, they give discounts for alarms, HID headlights and maybe a few other safety features.

I would not think that it would be necessary to tell them it has a factory alarm system. Doesn't a letter or number in the VIN indicate that...

Every option is included in the VIN? If so, that would explain why they only asked me about any aftermarket system...
