I was reviewing the data on my recently purchased '10 GB GT. I noticed on the Smart Vincent report the dealer gave me the order date is 5/31/2009. Normally not a big deal, but when I checked the 2009 calendar I saw this date was a Sunday. My question is: does this date correlate to the date the dealer submitted the order or the date that Ford entered it into their system or what?

 

Hey Roger, did you pick up your car at the end of May? If so, that is why they added that date. Smart Vincent is for all the programs that your car came with (rebates and such). Dealers have to have the date of the sale (or when the sale will ultimately be dated for) so everything matches up. If you picked it up a few months later, I don't know why they used that date in Smart Vincent.

 

I purchased the car last Saturday 3/6/10. Per the invoice the invoice is dated 7/28/09 and per the Oasis Report the car was built 8/10/09. The COV has the date of 8/11/09.

On the Smart Vincent Report the delivery date is shown as 3/5/10 which is the date I first talked to the sales folks and the day they gave me the report. On the line below the delivery date is a line title order date/type which reads 5/31/09 Stock (2). This is the date that I am questioning since it is a Sunday.

 

I order cars any day of the week, so a Sunday order is entirely possible. The order banks are are automated and always open. I've even ordered cars from home on my laptop in the evening well after hours.
