Update: Took Ellie for what I anticipate to be the last run of the season tonight. After the drive I put her up on ramps to begin the cleaning process before covering her up for winter sleep. As I slid under the car my eyes wandered to the familiar bolt on the timing cover where the oil leak used to be... Only to find fresh oil present. Sigh... Guess we will start the process again in the spring.

Snow due in just a few hours so she will probably not be out until the spring. I am going to call my advisor today. Have him see what the tech thinks. I would assume they will have to replace the timing cover. Obviously two people have attempted now to seal it without success. And with only 2,000 miles that is not many miles.

No... No mess. Still probably would not know of the first leak if I did not consistently put mine on a hoist at work to wipe down bottom of car. My leak is on passenger side. Look just above AC compressor. My leak drips on compressor. That is a place where the Timing Cover Gaskets silicone together. I would assume the driver side could leak in the same place though...
