IMO, if you haven't seen Kona in person... it's purple, once any type of shade hits it. I hated that, and I ended up going Sterling because of it. If they still had Vista blue, would have gone that way. Or the deeper blue with no hint of purple. But alas.

Just out of curiosity, why are you buying your car in Canada. They are cheaper in the states. I'll be getting mine in N-Y.

I think I have the Automatic rear axle ratio wrong. What are the Auto rear ratios? 3.15?

So after lonng longg research I finally ordered my 2011 in Canada today. I came upon this site to share my build

Grabber Blue 2011 Manual, California Special with GT Appearance (hood scoop and spoiler), Glass roof, navigation. HID lights. After the car comes I'm going to get the dealer to put black stripes on it.

I initially wanted white but the CS comes with that stock black tape on the side and the black GT500 rear. So unfortunately I have to get black stripes. I have been waiting for such a package for a long time as last year we had absolutely no variety of build here in Canada.

They say the car will come in May. I have to say I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas again.

What do you guys think about this build... Is the black stripes too much you think because of the hood scoop and the black gt500 rear?

I will be ordering the glass roof, just haven't signed off on the paper work yet..

 

Forgot to add mine to that sheet Skotty. My example in the first post is how I will be getting the car.

 

Tell me about it, this is all that's on my mind these days! When I ordered, CDN dollar was .95 USD but I figured the US option wasn't worth the trouble. I live overseas and would need to buy the car and get it to Canada and have all the inspections and mods done within my one month vacation time. Adding to the hurdles, being a non-resident I need to have someone else import, register and insure in their name, to avoid taxation complications.

My guts are churning now that the CDN looks like it could be higher than the USD soon and since I really would prefer a base GT anyway, I could end up burning an extra $10K... What to do?
