The Official "How did you/are you ordering you 2011 Mustang" thread
I just saw your sig changed. Man I'm so jealous. So I see you decided to skip the Brembo Package, eh? I don't think I've seen a 2010+ in GB with the 19" Machined Wheels. Good luck dude. Hope it looks good. I know you were worried about the 401A seats wrinkling, but if I was getting GB I would just have to get the 401A package with the GB stripes! The only thing I would change would be to swap the 400A dash inserts in. But I'm sure you'll be happy! Can't wait for you to get it!
) because of budget. Going from a 126hp FWD car to a 5.0, I think its safe to say I'll be satisfied with performance. As far as the 401a, I REALLY like the GB accents, but I like the seat design better in 400a plus I like the dash more plus its free. I will be adding in the 401a shifter **** though...
Thanks for the well wishes Patrick! I know you'll bounce back and will be crusing in your dream stang sooner than you think
If i do eventually pull the trigger in mid-to-late summer I'm getting a stripper GT.
Base GT, brembo's, 3.73's! Black or Kona blue, cant really decide
As soon as get it i have a nice 3 step program already lined up for it.
1) Gotta get rid of that cheap ugly steering wheel and replace it with a GT500 steering wheel.
2) some matte black aftermarket wheels... hopefully the RTR wheels
3) Proceed to the Nurburgring or Hockenheimring for some proper break in

Yup, unfortunately I decided to drop all the performance goodies I wanted (3.73s, brembos, and comfort group-heated seats add 20 hp

Oh God, I feel bad for those poor route clearance guys. That's a ****ty job. I bet they have high stomach ulcer rates.
I get back somewhere around february/march timeframe - so just in time for me to drive through snow on summer tires... sigh. I guess I'll have to get some winter tires, eh?
I decided to splurge on mine. I've never bought a new car before... hell, I haven't ever bought a car that wasn't at least 10 years old already! So I went ahead and put everything on. I mean everything. Glass roof, nav, electronics, comfort, security, HIDs, 3.55s, everything. It's gonna be a great car.
On one hand it sucks that I'm not gonna see my '11 until they're already selling '12s, but on the other hand all the quirks, tricks and upgrades will already be sussed out, and I'll be able to dive right in. And, any TSBs issued should be taken care of already since my car won't even be built 'til probably next January.

Ordered 4/19/10
2011 Mustang V6 base, non-premium
Grabber Blue
automatic
Rapid Spec 101A
3.31
pedestal decklid spoiler
decklid trim panel
MSRP: 25,240
I haven't heard anything since I was at the dealer, placed the order, had them look over my trade in, and I left a 100$ deposit. I'll probably visit them the first week of may when I'm on vacation. I'm ordering a new rear taillight anyway (trying to get my '05 looking at it's best for trade-in maximumzation), so I'll see then if they have a build date set.
Here is what it will look like:

Just saw a whole truckload of V6, GT, and GT500s heading out from AAI. It was a pleasant sight to say the least.
Now, after crunching some #'s, I'm torn about whether to drop the cash for the Elec. Pkg. That'll lower my payment by $40 a month, and that's not a bad deal at all.

I was told it would take 6-10 weeks for delivery. Does this sound right? Either way, I can't wait to get this car. This is my first Mustang after wanting to get on for a long time. Loved the 2005-2009, but was on deployments so much, it didn't make since. Looked at getting the 10', but heard about the re-introduction of the 5.0 and decided to wait longer. Drove an 11' GT w/auto two days ago and ordered the following day.

I wouldn't count on 6 weeks at all. IF my Stang arrives when they say, it will be 9 weeks. But we have guys who ordered in Jan or Feb who still don't have their cars. I would say be patient and just hope for the best.
I didn't custom order mine - but I found a dealer near me that is getting the colour and model I wanted, so I bought it:
Canadian GT (Premium with comfort package)
*Black w/ Charcoal Black (Grabber Blue accent)
*Premier Trim Package
*GT Brake Performance Package (Brembos)
*3.73's
*HIDs
*Security Package
*NAV
*Rear Camera
*Block Heater (

12 weeks is more realistic right now ... spring is here and Summer is around the corner.
Heck my '04 came in 6.5 weeks with a $3000 rebate tied to it (ordered in Jan arived in March) because the '05 was coming ... you're not going to get an '11 faster than that !!

I'm still waiting til Job 2 and for the kinks to be worked out. I still haven't made a 100% decision yet on whether or not I'm going to get the Elec. Pkg. on the car. Everything else is decided. It's just if I feel like shelling out another $2400 for my next vehicle.

So when you getting back to enjoy your 2011?
