New stang?

Should I trade my 11 v6 premium for a 14 base model gt? Will I miss the premium features? I kinda like the idea that I have a clean slate to upgrade.

Only if your finances can handle it. We like the premium features and would not give them up.

I agree with AzPete.
The only question for me would be if you are really tired of having a V6, to the point of not wanting the car anymore?? If that's the case, then get the base GT. It would be fine, and a clean slate like you said to add on anything you want.

It would be very hard for me to give up the creature comforts. Good luck on your decision.

i bought my V6 for the Premium Package and all the My Sync bells and whistles.

The question I have for you, is when you say clean slate, what would you do with the GT that would make it more desirable for you than the 11? If you just want the change, and can afford it..... hey go for it. Enjoy life when you can....

I have a 2014 with just the Tech, Sync and appearance package and I still wouldn't trade for a GT but that is just because this is my daily driver and I don't feel like paying for the amount of gas a GT would use.

To be honest, if you don't keep getting on the gas( which is hard to do with the power the 5.0 has) you can get good gas mileage. If I stay out of the throttle I'm getting around 23 mpg on the howdy. But I have a 93race tune and love the power. On city I can get around 19 mpg . But than I have s heavy foot st times st lights. So you can get good gas mileage If you can control yourself!!

Hi guys. To answer your questions, I love my premium. It has great features on it. However, looming at American Muscle, I realize I can have all the options I want at a fraction of the cost. Not to mention, I can pick and choose the ones I want. Granted, if I was ever to sell it, I would never get the money I put into the car, more then likely., but this is the risk we all make when we mod our vehicles!

I like the power that the GTs put out, heck we all do or else we wouldn't love mustangs so much. Not to mention the great sound they make. I still have much to consider if I decide to go this route. Feel free to give me your opinions! Thanks guys.

Nice one! Here's hoping there are more like you next year when I intend to purchase a 11 - 12 (probably won't afford newer) V6!
