first off I would like to give credit where credit is due so if anyone know whos it was that originally created these pics please speak up, I believe I originally found them on here, but as you can see I have changed them a bit to illustrate some of the key points the 2010 may have. Thanks.

assuming that these spy shots are of the 2010 and not a SE I created a couple of photoshops based on these photos, what weve had confirmed/strongly reliable rumors of the 2010 and what Ive been told by someone who has actually seen the car in person of what the 2010 might look like.

There are two because I couldnt get the hood bulge exactly right so I did one with and one without. Although now after speaking to that person again after showing them these I dont think its on the right track at all...I guess only time will tell.

Another one with the headlight bucket and turn signals...I do see it in the photos now too.. I thought it might have been the 70 ish look but doubted it until others brought it up.

2010 for sure..antenna in the rear.

So, now the question is..those that were at the focus group a year and a bit ago.... speak up... fill in the blanks

Ducktail/lip may still be there, but either camo is padded or spoiler is on there to 1) throw us off 2)has a lip, but spoiler is an option and this is what we are seeing.

Unless you have xray eyes, we can speculate till the cows come home

And the turn signals in the front were said to be integrated into the lights as well.

Can't wait to see the interior, as I remember them saying its WAY better than what we have now (which I think is pretty cool)

This is just a thought, but do you guys think Ford will integrate the new Ford-trademark chrome bar grille like the Focus, Fusion, Taurus etc.... Rumor has it that the new F-150 will have that type of grille. I think if executed right it would look good, maybe some of the people here who have made awesome photos in the past can make one with the new Ford trademark grille...

The shape of the rear looks a lot like a '95 Toyota Supra.

well based on what Ive heard, the next Gen Mustang will look way better/different then the current one...another reason I dont think these spy shots are of anything close to what it will be it sounds like that there will be nothing on the car that resembles the current one and these spy shots are obviously the current stang with changes.

Personally i'm very disappointed that they couldn't lose the antenna for just a bit more of an upscale look.

I'll take a wait and see on the rear tails... they look like they may have some potential with possibly the turn signal and reverse in those centre bars.

Get yourself a Sirius satellite radio and take the stupid antenna off. Once you experience satellite radio you'll never go back to listening to boring old commercial filled obsolete AM & FM radio.

The platform is going to have the same rough sizes as the previous car.
With the camo, the only things we can say for certain are what we can see. The tail lights, and the front grille/lights. (and of course the greenhouse which we know won't be different)

I'm sure every panel (other than GHouse) will be changed.

The interior looks interesting (from what we see, and different than the current car)

Also, we have no idea (if any) changes were made from a couple years prior. Knowing that the look had some similar styling cues to the camaro concept, or feedback from focus groups, ford may have gone back and changed things on the car. Maybe more subtle changes and leaving the more extreme changes to the 2012+ car.

I'm just thinking out loud here, but bottom line, this is no doubt a mule for the 2010+ and not an SE.

It's the 2010...
All body panels changed except the greenhouse.
Didn't expect anything else...not cost effective to
change up the internals and engineering every 5 years.
Interior...think Flex and MKS (somewhat)... We'll see clearer
direction of the interiors with the launch of Fusion/MKZ in January.

As for the antenna, anything is better than where it sits now and for the past 30+ years.
They can't throw on a Taurus roof style (shark fin) because of the convertible.
And the inside glass mounted ones are not the best for
reception...Look at the 06 Fusion vs 07/08.
Your looking at a V6 that looks more aggressive than the current GT500,
Just imagine the next Mustang GT and Shelby's GT350!
Roush better not put the cow catcher front end on these!
Saleen shouldn't put that hors d'oeuvre tray out back...KISS (Keep It Simple Saleen)
A 2011 BULLITT would be nice...
We may see this car before 2008 is out.

Competition...(an Opinion)....

I think the Muscle Car Wars will be somwhat shortlived.
Gas prices are out of control.
Will the Challenger and Camaro take sales from Mustang?
All three have their fans and that will keep Mustang sales steady.
The future is not about "who's got the biggest V8?" it will be
"Who's got the most fuel efficient Twin Turbo V6?"

Mustang's monthly sales have dropped off since 2005, this is not due
to any one thing but a combo of economic influences over the past
couple of years. Ford and Mustang can't solely go after Camaro and Challenger.
It survived on it's own since 2002 and what? The 1980's

Ford should focus on going after the BMW 3 series...
I've seen so many 2007/8 328's and 335's Coupe and Conv.
And to a lesser extent the Infiniti G37 Coupe.
If they could grab these kinds of consumers they'd be golden.
Let Challenger and Camaro fight over the RETRO theme Ford
led with and while their comparing Inches (Cubic that is)
Mustang refines itself into something more classy and more able
to take on Europe and Japan in EVERY catagory.

This is a big reason I want to see a TwinForce V6 available for the GT. While we muscle heads may prefer the V8, to compete with imports and to survive the Gas price problems the more compact and efficient twin-turbo GDI V6 is the way to go.

ok I will slightly elaborate, as I mentioned Ive been talking to someone who has seen the car in person and after showing them these pics and my photoshop the reply (in a very short, as non-descript reply as possible) was that the 2010 looks NOTHING like these pics nor the current car. So if its a test mule its at most just testing very small minute features, possibly more mechanical than anything else.

TOPNOTCH- as for the speculation of the Muscle car wars being short lived that might be very true but its just history repeating itself, the good thing is that history is on our sides and that the Mustang was the only one that survived and will do so again....perhaps before long we will see a throw back to the Fox...lol. But I cant see what they will do with the Challenger and Camaro beyond the style they are coming out with now. They failed to come up with something in the past and I think its a one hit wonder this time around.
