New 2013 5.0 at dealership??????
I look forward to the day when you can see the dry rot cracks in the sidewalls of this car on the dealer lot/showroom. Look close past the greasy tire dressing over spray. You can just make them out if squint by this dealer's greed or ineptitude.
Lmao. I bet that car will still be sitting on that dealers lot come this fall. They won't even sell it and its going into summer which is prime time to sell a performance car. The warmer weather! Ha ha ha.
Yours truly financed it 24k for it with less than 5k on the odometer, extended warranty, all new rims, two tanks of gas...
I did it's first oil change and have all documentation. The car smells new and has no but crease on the seat. He didn't even get past break in!
Seriously, there's deals out there! Don't get screwed like the salesman selling the 13.
I bought my 2014 GT300a Track Pack for $32.5k in September of 2013! Granted, Michigan has a 6% sales tex, but still! This was a Factory Order. I did't want SYNC or any other nonsense the dealers try to sell you. Over $40k for this car is PREPOSTEROUS.
I'd also ask to see its OASIS report. I used to work at a Ford dealership back in the 80"s and saw a new car once that had drivability issues, car was at the end of its model year, took them over 10 Months to fix the issue and then tried to sell it on the lot as new, even though it was almost 2 MY's old.
Why do so many of you want to compare the price you paid for your stripped down coupes to the loaded up premium convertible in question? That is definitely not an apples to apples comparison.

I just pulled an OASIS. No issues. Build date was 10/11/12.
If I were looking to buy this car, I'd offer to pay $35,888 so they can break even, but only if they'd throw in a free Ford PremiumCare Extended Service Plan for free.
Wow, what's an OASIS report and how does one check it?
I had a similar situation with my 2011 GT. I went to the dealer in October 2011 to order a 2012. We crunched numbers, and they steered me to a 2011 left-over which was on their lot for six months. I got a GREAT deal on the car, and I've never looked back. It did have over 100 miles on it, so I'm pretty sure they used (abused) it as a demo and tester, and lunch-go-getter, but I don't mind. I got it for over $3k under sticker, with an additional $1k dealer-installed items. If I went for a 2012 model, I would not have been able to afford ($) many of the features that I got in my 2011 - which my wife and I love (Premium, Shaker 500, Comfort Pckg, Elect. Pckg, GPS, etc.). My advice, if you want that 2013 car, squeeze the dealer as much as you can. If that car has been sitting on their lot for too long, they are really dying to get rid of it. Low ball them for like $39k. Good luck!
^ the only post that matters here, and from a person in new car sales... $35,888. I like it.
You can get a 2014 model for that cost I believe so no real great deal for the 2013 model to pay almost 36k. Lol

True , there is a sucker born every minute but my father wasn't gonna have that salesman laugh his a$$ off and pay for that huge dealership party after selling that car for 41k. That salesman is gonna be laughing there butt off for hitting the person dry and no lube and thinking what a dumb a$$ consumer. Ha ha ha
You cannot get a '14 model equipped identically for $36K unless the dealer is losing money. $35,888 is the breakeven point for the new '13 GT Convertible in question. Selling it for less means that dealer loses money, which they may have to do if they want to get rid of it.
I still have about 15 brand new 2013 Fords & Lincolns on our lot. Each is priced waaaay below the invoice total, so we're losing money to unload them. We're in clearance mode to get the '13's gone before '15's start arriving. I would recommend the dealer with the '13 GT Vert do the same to clear it off their lot.
Hello Everyone,
Just last week I cut out a deal tobuy a 2013 Mustang GT Convertible (with CS badging, pro-protection package: 3M film) plustaxes (12% here is Canada eh!) all came to $35650. This was a used vehicledriven only 17000kms and it was sitting at this Dealership for 3 months so Iwas able to negotiate big-time.
I was not very keen getting aconvertible OR the V8 as I went in to buy a 2014 brand new Stang and 2dealership told me they aren’t taking any orders as they have stopped doingthat since Feb which was quite stupid! Anyways sometimes things are meant tohappen so on the brighter side of it I got the deal on '13 GT and finally I’m officiallypart of the Mustang club.
MSRP was $30500 on it so yesthere're deals out there all you gotto do is negotiate with your dealer andfirst thing u ask them is how long car has been sitting at the lot. In this wayyou know what reasons you can add to lower car price.
Good luck
Hans Thak
