I grew up in Charlotte as that's where my Dad lives and I can tell the traffic there is already bad but it would awesome to be there and see all the Mustangs takeover the roadways. Good luck on the drive and getting around town.

I would've loved to go to the 50th as well, but I will also be on vacation that week! I'm sure everyone will have a blast! Someone take lots of pics and post em on here.

I hope to be the first to welcome all of you to my town. They call it the Charlotte Motor Speedway, but it is actually in the City of Concord, NC. Like Anthony said traffic can get a bit hectic at the speedway during these events, but Burton Smith has got the traffic flow down to a science getting into the track. Now, getting to the track may be another story. Might I suggest that you consider if you are coming from the west side of Charlotte take Hwy. 29 (Tryon St. exit) to the track, and from the east side also take the Hwy. 29 (Concord exit). The "Speedway Dr." exit also carries the "Concord Mills"/"Bass Pro Shop" traffic. On a normal weekend you don't want to be at that exit, and on event day at the track it is an extremely bad dream. Hwy. 29 is a rural 4 lane with stoplights, but trust me it will be more pleasant than sitting in a two mile traffic jam. Of course this is just a suggestion. Ya'll come now, ya hear....
