Personally, I'm very excited to see how the new 5.0L responds to supercharging. The higher compression ratio means we'll see higher boost pressure relative to a lower compression engine. Put simply, that means I can turn the supercharger at a lower rpm and still see the same boost pressure I would see with a lower compression ratio. As an added bonus that means less heat build up which in turn means great efficiency and even more power....so long as you don't push the rods too hard.

 

I understand your frustrations on the relatively low tech provided here. If you haven't already checked out modularfords.com then you'll find the best engineering tech next to corner-carvers.com there.

I am going to cancel my 5.0 Mustang subscription. Boomer has countered everything Ford's own engineers say. I want my money back for these lies I bought!!!!
