I am starting to get scared they are going to be WAY too loud.
Can anyone who has heard these in person opine? I do NOT want to be that guy who sets off all the car alarms in the parking garage and who you can hear coming a mile away in the city and everyone thinks "what a douche" because you blew out their eardrums.

Just got them installed for 90 bucks (1h40m, but I paid him for two cause I'm nice).
HOLY GOD THEY SOUND SEXY. Ford should be ashamed stock doesn't sound 20% of what these babies are. Will try to upload vids later.
Deep, aggressive. Screw the rest!

When I colded-started them the initial sound was breathtaking! They rumbled quite loudly for about 15 seconds and I was scared they would be too loud.
Then they got really quiet and only got mean when I stepped on it.
So awesome. If I didn't have a girlfriend I'd go splode some panties.

Okay I finally took them on a longer ride.
I've noticed something: There's kind of an annoying low-frequency/bass "wobble" sound that doesn't sit right with my eardrums between 1k-2k rpm in 1st and 2nd gear (I spend a lot of time here).
I didn't get it in 5th or 6th gears going 60-80 mph.
Is this "drone" or am I insane? Maybe bad installation? But there's a low frequency sound that sounds wobbly (no other way to describe it) and it makes my ears pretty uncomfortable.

Thing is, I'm not getting it at higher gears or speeds.
It's only in gear 1-2 at rpm's 1-2.1k ish.
I guess it's livable, but I'm pretty disheartened. The sound from the outside is so sweet. My girlfriend didn't notice the drone but she doesn't give two poops about my exhaust sound and would never notice even if it played La Cucaracha.

that is the same drone i get, i read somewhere if you take off the "Horn" or add more filter in it to block the sound it is greatly reduced.
but it is livable for me, i just turn the radio up..

2) Put filler in where? Stuff tissues into the exhaust? :-P

1. he's calling it "the horn", it is the sound tube that goes from the intake to the firewall
2. put more filter material where it is already located in the sound tube so it muffles more noise if you were to keep the sound tube connected, nothing gets stuffed in the tailpipe
this is what he is referring to

Guess I should have gotten the GT500 mufflers or the Roush. The Roushes sound pretty **** good and are only 370$.
I have the radio on 90% of the time though so I will take another ride to see how bad it is listening to music.
I'm not sure it's even worse the hassle to have them taken off and shipped back then reinstalled. ughh..
When?
