Just ordered Bassani axlebacks!
I pledged never to waste thousands of dollars modding for a car I drive 5k miles a year, and so far I haven't.
Today I ordered the Bassani axlebacks (sweetest sounding exhaust besides the hushpowers, and apparently the Bassanis have much reduced drone compared to the hushpower) and a custom shifter **** from grabberpony.
I'm amped! The sound is so **** good.

I got the axle backs for 515 bucks including shipping from American Muscle.

Just called American Muscle and they are NOT backordered and in stock!
I got the price so cheap because I got a promo code by talking to an American Muscle Rep on the forums (not sure if this one or AFM) and he sent me a 6 percent off discount code.
Brought down the bassanis from 550 to like 515!

Agreed. Very very easy. All you need to do is undo a couple clamps, take off the old ones, slip the new ones into the brackets, and tighten clamps. If you have a couple jacks i say do it yourself. Save a little $$$ but in the end do what you feels best!

They're a piece of cake to install Joker, but if you decide to have them installed by a shop, it's a 30 minute job. I love my Bassani's, these axle back are in a league of their own, you'll know the minute you start the engine. I got them for $499 from dallas Mustang.

Throaty when the car is idling fast, but they actually get quieter at idle once the rpms drop . Roadwise, it's a nice combination of exhaust and mechanical noise from up front. They're pretty civilized with the windows up, but you know they're there. The only slight drone i've experienced was between 1800-2000 rpm in 5th speed which i'm rarely staying at anyways.. Windows down, a nice tone. Not to obnoxious, moderately aggressive but not too much.
Quality is A-1, mufflers have a very nice high luster chrome finish, tail-ends are brushed stainless with embossed Bassani logo.
