Let's let him get use to driving this new car and do it again. I wonder if he wasn't shifting to soon or not. He should have swapped and had Kevin drive the mustang and go at it...

That's a shame.
Hey, trade drivers, then maybe see how things go.
I know the gearing and break in may make a difference but sheesh, there is a bit more under the hood there on the Mustang. Oh well, this is just C5 fodder.
330rwhp? Just a very rough estimate of a 55hp under rating, very interesting indeed.

Don't know... When I ran him it certainly sounded like he was wrapping it out, but yeah he needs some seat time in it... The SS will likely fall behind once that motor has loosened up. LS1s were known to pick up 30+ HP after some mileage...

I just did a quick Google. It says a 2002 SS Camaro is 325HP. How could a stock SS possibly beat a 412 HP Mustang?
You sure your SS is stock? What are your dyno numbers?
Was the Mustang running 91 Octane or 87 octane. I'd be pretty bummed if my brand spanking new 5.0 got whooped like that.

SS + driver, say hes 200 lbs = 3600 lb car. PtW = 10.74 based on 335hp
GT + driver, say hes 200 lbs + 250 lbs passenger = 4050 lb car. PtW = 9.83 based on 412hp
The SS is seriously underated tho.

For one is SS was not stock and he had traction control on which makes a huge difference. However, I still think the 5.0 should have won, buy hey it only had 8 miles on it...

Congrats on taking delivery! I love the color choices! As far as the SS winning....traction control hinders mine bigtime so I can imagine it is far worse on the 5.0. Get a little more seat time, a few more miles on her and turn the TC off and it will be a whole different ball game!

I love those kinds of videos!
Great video...for the prosecution!
Vid of the speedo and the truck running down the wrong side of the street.
I have a vid of my car posted, but no firm evidence can be derived from it.
On another note, this is a manual tranny car that has been delivered.
