I now have the imfamous 5.0 engine tick @ 19,650 miles
I'm glad it's gone. Mine is still gone too.
Motorcraft FTW other ways work but they make these owners manuals for a reason :-)

Just ordered Amsoil 10W30 & Oil filter. Here's the link I followed on ordering.

Trying out different engine oil is one thing, but the way things laid out here must be related to internal engine components. Lifters, Fuel Injectors, Pistons, Rods, valve train, low oil level, oil deposits. Again, I'm not a mechanic.
Found some Interesting reads:

Still against taking my Engine apart, bad internals or whatnot. But if the noise doesn't go away even after the oil tryouts, I wouldn't have much of a choice. Well except maybe try to live with it. I don't want to, really.

I honestly thought this Amsoil would fix the issue. In fact, I believed it so blindly that the moment I realized it wasn't the case, something inside of me broke forever(omg!) lol... Let me just put some more miles.

Oil is unfortunately not the issue. I truly wish it was. And I understand your broken feeling. I had it after my Dealer replaced the clutch to get rid of my ticking and it did not fix it...
Yes. To me it sounds a lot like the tick your gas grill makes when you light it. But I guess marbles banging together is a good description. And Yes for me it happens as you lightly accelerate and let the clutch out. But I have a new clutch, pressure plate and flywheel. Noise is still present.
I bought a 2011 GT in July. I've read this post a few times. I have an automatic and I don't have the tick. My question is: is the tick more prevalent with the standard transmission? I see oil change, clutch swaps and air conditioning belt. No one seems to have the same answer. Thanks John
