I'm glad it's gone. Mine is still gone too.

Motorcraft FTW other ways work but they make these owners manuals for a reason :-)

Trying out different engine oil is one thing, but the way things laid out here must be related to internal engine components. Lifters, Fuel Injectors, Pistons, Rods, valve train, low oil level, oil deposits. Again, I'm not a mechanic.

Found some Interesting reads:

Still against taking my Engine apart, bad internals or whatnot. But if the noise doesn't go away even after the oil tryouts, I wouldn't have much of a choice. Well except maybe try to live with it. I don't want to, really.
So, the car's been running these roughly little over 300miles now, I'm a little disappointed to hear the tick coming back after all that effort. Still monitoring the situation though, hoping the noise would vanish after some driving. I have sadly come to realize the bad habit when coyotes take fresh oils.

I honestly thought this Amsoil would fix the issue. In fact, I believed it so blindly that the moment I realized it wasn't the case, something inside of me broke forever(omg!) lol... Let me just put some more miles.

Oil is unfortunately not the issue. I truly wish it was. And I understand your broken feeling. I had it after my Dealer replaced the clutch to get rid of my ticking and it did not fix it...

Does the tick bounce back n forth like marbles hitting each other when you half-clutch it?? at the parking lot or entering the garage, moving slow?

Last year the dealer replaced the evap canister purge valve and that didn't fix it. I was pretty sure it wouldn't

Yes. To me it sounds a lot like the tick your gas grill makes when you light it. But I guess marbles banging together is a good description. And Yes for me it happens as you lightly accelerate and let the clutch out. But I have a new clutch, pressure plate and flywheel. Noise is still present.

They also tried the Stretchy Belt TSB on mine but it did not totally remove the noise. It did lessen it though. After that it was not as loud or as frequent.

That TSB shouldn't apply to a 2014

It doesn't. They tried it because the TSB exactly matches the noise mine was making.

I bought a 2011 GT in July. I've read this post a few times. I have an automatic and I don't have the tick. My question is: is the tick more prevalent with the standard transmission? I see oil change, clutch swaps and air conditioning belt. No one seems to have the same answer. Thanks John
