Craptastic! Thanks for the confirmation.

I'm at the point where I'm going to bring mine into the dealer this fall before I pack it up for the winter (which is coming up real soon) and if the engine noise and transmission issues can't be fixed, I'm going to look into cutting my losses and selling the **** thing. I might be able to get $26k out of the car and that money would give me a good down payment on a C6 Z06

A blower whine can help cover up that stretchy belt noise

I'm pretty sure that noise only applies to '11-12 engines

My '13 engine has the AC stretchy belt, but the passenger side timing cover is already machined to handle the conventional idler and tensioner. I figure the occasional belt noise does not hurt anything and is less parasitic loss to the engine.

I think my '13 is an early 13 though...I bout it new in July of 2012.

Dropped my 2014 off at the dealer on Monday to diagnose transmission issues and rear end whine. I'm at about 14,500 so I said to do the 15k service while it's in. I did synthetic on my first oil change at 4k miles, but the service advisor suggested to just save the money and go with the Motorcraft blend (he has a 2014 GT too). We'll see what happens whenever it's done. He said they'd probably need a week or so to diagnose and/or repair the trans and rear end noises, depending on what's needed.

I just hate going to the dealer for anything, especially since I don't live near the dealer I bought the car from.
If it is the A/C belt, it won't be covered under warranty. It will only be covered under warranty if the tick is coming from inside the engine. A/C is not a part of the powertrain.

A TSB means that it's COVERED by Ford. I don't even think the mileage warranty applies to it at all. If you are experiencing symptoms stemming from this TSB, it should be covered... parts, labor, and all.
You are confusing a TSB with a Recall. They are not the same. a TSB done out of warranty is not covered.

there have been several people on here that had the A/C belt TSB done and it didn't fix the problem.

Just have to live with it. Ford service engineers are only interested in making the best thing for the new cars coming out. They don't have time to fix your/our issues unless the government forces them to.
Heck the dealers here won't even replace my driver airbag under the safety recall because my car is a Roush.

Your car was built in the factory with all the other Mustangs and it is a Ford, they will fix your car.

I wS told directly from the service manager that they do not sell Roush cars and that I would have to take it to a Roush dealer.

I argued that fact as we'll that it is a ford issue and not a Roush one. Still told to take it to a Roush dealer.

the tick that i get sounds like many of the videos, but mine is much more consistent in timing. i only notice it when i leave my house and i drive between two brick walls, but its hard to miss when the windows are down.
