Yeah I know that means, "put a rush" on it, but I just done see a company that size saying, "Hurry up, Eric really wants his car today...Hurry...Hurry. What the hell does that mean????

Please share your experiences or your estimations as to how they are doing at filling orders currently.
No offense intended but I find it hard to believe you did a search... Orders, delays, and holds have been discussed quite a bit here. Maybe you just used unusual search terms. . .

Use this thread and compare build dates to delivery dates:

I think page 67 has the latest update to the list.

12 weeks is a pretty safe bet. 6-8 is conventional wisdom. You have to factor in when the order is placed, accepted, processed, dealer allocation, commodity holds, etc. Then you get into the actual build. 1-2 days to build the car. Then quality inspections/holds. That could be a day or WEEKS or even MONTHS. Once the quality holds are lifted, then you get into transportation. The car gets put on a railcar if you're more than 250 miles from AAI. The train ride could be a few days or a couple of weeks. It goes to a railyard within 250 miles of your dealer. From there an auto transport is scheduled and the car is delivered to the dealer. They need a few hours or a day or more for the pre-delivery inspection. If they need to fix something, add days.

I ordered 4/3. Car was delivered 6/22. My car was put on "hot" status around mid-June. My car also came with the wrong coolant sticker which was one of the reasons for the "hold" in May. They just never fixed mine. It was probably held for the a-pillar trim issue too.

It depends on the dealer. I wouldn't call it unusual but I'd be asking questions. Did you ask for the Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgment (DORA)? That what the dealer gets from Ford when they place an order. See the sticky thread for more info about the DORA.

Additionally, it's VERY COMMON for dealers to have/share little information -- whether they have it or not. There are certainly exceptions but most dealers seem to be of the mind set, "We'll call you when it comes in."

Thanks. I just talked to my dealer. They're going to run a vehicle report for me, but don't have a VIN yet.
